Kelley Blue Book Calls FR-S “Coolest Car Under $25,000”

Scion 10 Series FR-S
The verdict is in. If you’re looking for a frugal way into a cool car, the FR-S is your best bet. At least, that’s Kelley Blue Book’s judgement. I’m inclined to agree with them. There isn’t another car in the price range that really competes with the FR-S. Heck, there are a number of sports cars that cost much more than the FR-S while being less interesting and far more bland.

Scion, for all of their recent “woe”, have been getting a lot of positive attention thanks to the FR-S. Even if people aren’t buying them up like Corollas, the general consensus among gear heads and non-gear heads is that it’s a neat little car. You could easily argue that there’s not a car at $25,000 that looks as good as the FR-S either. The shape coupe shape is classic for a reason: the short deck and comparitively long hood make it look sporting. Thankfully Subaru allowed Toyota to do the styling, so it didn’t come out looking like a Gundam reject. It’s at home carving up canyons as much as it is in a cafe parking lot.

Check out what the KBB has to say about it in their words after the jump.
