As November draws closer and closer, so does the upcoming LA Auto Show and all the manufacturer’s getting their respective debuts ready for the red carpet. Furious work is being done behind the scenes to make sure each car is ready for LA and only LA, and by that, I mean that no one leaks an important car before the premier at the show. That doesn’t mean a company can’t still tease us with a few small cropped pictures to keep us guessing.

Take for instance Scion which just leaked the front left wheel and partial front fascia of the upcoming iM Concept.

While little can be said inferred about the iM Concept just from this small picture, it’s the general consensus that the iM Concept will be a rebadged Toyota Auris sedan from Japan and Europe.

This concept however looks to have been breathed on by Toyota’s TRD team with a set of large rims, sticky Yokohama tires and a set of massive cross-drilled brakes rotors and calipers. In addition to the performance modifications, what sets this car apart from the Toyota version is a more aggressive front fascia and fender flares.

In the last few years Scion lost most of its customer base due to a number of factors, but one primary reason was a stagnant lineup. Scion however says it will now introduce an entirely brand new lineup of vehicles over the next few years hopefully beginning with this iM Concept.

While I’m not sure that “the young folks” want a Camry-based hot sedan, I applaud the acknowledgement from Scion to see they no longer were attracting the buyer they wanted. The car is set to debut November 19th at the LA Auto Show and more details on the car will be available then.
