Scion Unveils xB Release Series 10.0

2014 Scion xB RS10
Scion doesn’t have any new models for the New York Autoshow, but that’s not stopping them from introducing new-ish products. Since there are no brand new Scions, they’ve been able to splurge a little bit on their release series. Color change paint, anyone?

The xB Release Series 10 gets a one-of-a-kind, pearlescent, white-to-green paint job. Can’t get that at Maaco.

Scion is describing this Release Series “tech-driven,”  which is something that they actually back up. Inside the xB comes equipped with a wireless charging mat. That’s handy if you’re the type of person who cannot be bothered to actually plug in their phone every time they get in the car. Also, it comes with no fewer than three projectors: one that projects the scion logo on the ground from the rear bumper, another that projects “xB RS 10.0” on the the drivers carpet, and another that projects the car’s sequential number in the passenger foot well.

Total cost? Around $20,420. This a Release Series, so they’re only building 1,500. If you need your next xB to stand out with no extra work… This doesn’t seem like a bad way to do it.
