2017 is going to be a very entertaining year for Formula Drift. Ryan Tuerck and Chris Forsberg, two of the biggest names in professional drifting, have announced a partnership for FormulaD 2K17. Tuerck continues with his Toyota Racing GT86 and Forsberg is retaining his twin-turbocharged 370Z for 2017.
What does this partnership mean?
Much of Tuerck x Forsberg is shrouded in mystery. The two have long had a working media relationship with their Network A web show Drift Garage, wherein the two wrenched on cars and covered fun topics regarding drifting.
The Network A days have given way to the boys’ new venture Donut Media, which is actually where today’s announcement comes from.
So what can we expect? A massive marketing exercise seems the most likely answer. Fun videos outside of the competition will feature the duo and bring together fans of hooliganry and drift antics.
The differences in Formula Drift competition is to be determined, but we will be watching intently.
