I bought my Hot Lava from them & everything went smooth. They were the only dealer within 150 miles of my house that had a Hot Lava in stock. All the accessories that I wanted were installed perfect and in a speedy manor. I delt with Ralph and he was VERY helpful. He know what he was talking about and answered all my questions to the fullest. When I got to the dealership to pick up my car is was washed and waiting for me. I didn't have to wait at all. It was the best expirence I had!

Caldwell Toyota/Scion was my first experience with buying a car. After my '00 Neon got declared a total loss in an accident, I went around looking for a reliable, fuel efficient, fun car. I'd always liked the xA and it came down to new xA vs. ~25,000 mile Civic coupe. I test drove both and ended up going with the Scion.
I spoke to Kris and I urge everyone to speak to him as well. I asked him "Why should I buy from Caldwell Toyota/Scion over another Scion dealer?" His response: "Well, I'll throw in free oil changes for life."
That sealed it. When I came back, I came back ready to buy. They didn't have an xA automatic in Black Sand Pearl in stock, but they had one in two days and it was ready for me the third day.
Coming in to pick it up, after I took a look at my car, Kris took it to get a tank of gas and then I waited for the finance guy to get his paperwork in order. This was the only sticking point, as I was waiting for about 20 minutes to a half-hour before he was ready for me. This was when I arrived a few minutes early for the whole shpiel.
Overall, though, my experience was excellent. Kris was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and a downright cool and friendly guy. I urge anyone who needs a Scion in NJ to come to Caldwell. You won't be disappointed. Tell Kris that Mike P. sent you.
