Well I had totaled my car and was shopping around for a new car. Never thought twice about the Scion TC but seen the commercials and liked the looks of the car. I decided to call Dick Dyer to come take a look at one. I dealt with the same car salesman as daythinkr did. As being as inexperienced with scion tc as I was, I knew more about the car than he did. Now I know a lot about selling cars and how the whole system works so they didn't screw me like they could a lot of other people. If your going to buy a car from them than all I ask is please negotiate your finance rates with them no matter how bad your credit is. They will try to take advantage of you as far as financing is concerned. As far as the salesman is concerned, if your going to build and sell a car geared towards the younger gen thats into modifiying their cars, then get a person in that genre to sell them. He would have been better at selling a camry to a couple of baby boomers.

3-weeks with then and I was told that i will get the first car on my list. After the financing came through 2 days later he (steve goldstien) called telling me he lost the car that was alocatted for me. Saying that they sell fast. If it was there when i got financining where did it go. Also, if you lost it how come u called me 2 days after to tell me. After going though this 3 more times, with the "ok we lost the blck but how do you feel about a white one?". Then the same pitch with a grey one, after he lost the white one. I told him i was backing from the deal and i was lectured on how this will be the worst decision in my life--made me look like and idiot. I went with savannah toyota 138miles away. Got my car in 2 days from a trade. Dick dyer was good on everything else just that it seems like they have to lie to you to keep u with them. I didnt like the back and forth thing either. I would recommend them for toyotas, but not for scions. I belive there biggest problem is in their inventory. Other than that they were fine. The lecture i got from the salesman i understand it as a sales pitch to keep their coustomers, but i wouldnt be as harsh.

Pleasant car-buying experience. No-nonsense sales approach.
Low inventory due to rapid sales.

I drove an hour and a half away to get a better deal after Gene Reed acted like they didn't care about me. Plus Dyer's is $200 cheaper than anyone else in the area. Only a $99 doc fee. Everything but the finance went great and I had a letter in the mail the next day thanking me for my purchase. Plus I got a 20% off certificate on parts so I bought my carpet kit right then and saved some more money. Have gotten other letters from them since thanking me and asking for my opinion on how they did. The only problem was getting jerked around with financing telling me that the loan company turned me down after I had signed the contracts and was getting ready to drive home. Had to wait 2 more hours for them to straighten it out and sign new paperwork that raised my payment by a penny??? But all is well and I can't blame the dealership for the problems with the vehicle. (gutless wonder and terrible mileage) But I do enjoy driving around in it getting a lot of looks.
