I wanted to check out the new xBs since I'm in need of a new car. Really I was hoping they would have some used '06s. But i was easily pleased with the '08 model. Really happy with the inventory.

And i probably would've even been happier if i wasn't ignored when i was trying to get someone's attention.

The customer service is lacking in many ways.

Why did I drive 26 miles away to buy my tC? Because they were the closest dealership with 5-speeds. I went to North Hollywood (the closest to my house), Glendale, Hamer, and Hollywood, and not a one had a 5-speed to test drive... how do you expect anyone to buy a car when you can't stock the model people want? I called Frontier and they had a 5-speed in every color! Originally, I was shopping for Nautical Blue 5-speed, so I made an appointment with Steven Farmer for a test drive. He was friendly, knowledgeable, a tuner, and knew exactly what I was looking for in that car. Unlike most sales people, Steven let me leave the lot to think about what I wanted on the car and how much I was willing to pay without running my credit or asking "what can we do to get you to drive off in this car TODAY?" It's a good thing he did, because as soon as I got home, news of the RS 2.0 broke here on SL. I called Steven, he faxed me the specs and revised numbers, and the deal was made with no hassles.

I just bought my tC a week ago at Frontier Scion. The staff was great; I just dodged the Toyota dealers out front, and ran into the main office. I had called ahead and spoke to Drew, a young first year sales rep, and asked for him inside. It took only a few seconds, and then we went to see the tCs he had in stock. I didn't really care about color, and I fell in love with an '06 Flint Mica. Test drove it (it had 1 mile) and started up the paperwork. The process was great, and I bought my car that afternoon. The huge parking garage next to the office is where the cars are stored, and we had to drive to get to the car. The process was extremely painless, and the finance manager Troy was also very courteous and helpful. I am actually looking forward to returning for the first scheduled maintenance. I will definitely be recommending this dealership to scion prospectors, and will return if I want a new car!

Personal attention in a pressure-free environment. The salesmen at Frontier Scion were knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with on my new tC. I tried two other Scion dealers, and Frontier was the best by far. When pricing is essentially the same at every dealer, and most of us set up our financing on-line, the salesperson and dealership make or break the transaction.

The guys at Frontier Scion totally rock. Although, I haven't bought a car from them I have used their Parts and Service department a heck of a lot. Yes, the guys standing outside trying to move Toyotas were hungry but that's because the Scion guys are always busy selling cars. I've seen this at lots of other dealerships, they don't get sales if they stand inside all day.

Joey Foy and Eric Shalem are awesome Scion sales reps. They know their cars inside out upside down and backwards. Quentin and Adam are good guys too. If they aren't busy they will talk Scion cars and culture with you.

Their inventory level at times gets low, and their facility is a bit old, but is apparently scheduled for remodel this summer.

The guys at Frontier are so good I wish I'd bought my car from them.

Anytime my oil gets changed, it does get a car wash, and I don't know what the other guy was talking about, but my car wash looks better than a $20 "hand wash" car wash joint.

After coming from Northridge Scion, I was a little upset with the service I was given. First thing when I park, a man greets me and asks what I need. Even though I didn't need anything from him he directed me to where I could get a scion salesman. I finally hit the dealership door and another person greets me and asks the same thing. He's not a scion salesman either, and directs me to the right man. Thats great service.

Frontier Scion does an awesome job at taking care of there customers. They dont BS people and there CUSTOMER SERVICE is the best so far. I've taken my car to 2 other dealerships for service and was treated like crap( HAMER SCION, NORTHRIDGE SCION). Dane Jansen works in the service drive at Frontier and he does an outstanding job.
Frontier Treats everyone the same. I will continue to take my Xb to them and will make all my purchases of Scions or Toyota's thru them.
Joey Foy( SALES MANAGER) and his staff do a great job everytime I am there. My wife bought her Scion TC thru them also. She was treated like a memeber of the SCION family.

I recently bought a scion Xb from frontier, i am an older male not from the Gen X era in which most of the cars are meant for. I have done my research on the vehicle and i have owned a 98 JDM BB it was a cheap car in Okinawa when i was stationed there i bought it 10,000 yen approx. I loved the car to death it was an automatic on the column and it has armrest unlike the Scion Xbs which niether of the two options even available. I have learned that it was coming to the U.S. and i quickly went to rekindle the old flame of my awesome car i once had. I was forced to sell it from not being able to export it to my next duty station in San Diego, (California Emissions junk). So i looked all around and one dealership had it in my area Frontier Scion. Two young guys i think Eric Shalem /Joey Foy, who were very knowledgeable of the Scion/JDM vehicles helped me and made me feel good about spending my money which was weird to understand. But i am in love with the car. They still call and sent me a thank you card which blew me away, i recommend them to everyone . The car sells itself but the Scion reps took it over the edge. Thanks

After visiting several other Toyota/Scion dealerships Frontier Toyota seemed like heaven. The salesmen were extremely polite...even the Toyota salesman who greeted me politly refered me to one of the scion guys even though i wasnt buying a car from him. The specialized scion salesman was extremely knowledgable when it came to the car and he was suprisingly relaxed and straight forward (as I'm told the scion experience should be). Maybe the other scion dealerships werent told about the scion way. Whatever the case may be I was able to buy an xb when I was ready with the accessories I wanted and only the ones I wanted when I was ready. I actually enjoyed buying a car!!! The scion team was completely honest, polite and RELAXED!!! It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. and I've sent friends to frontier buy cars and they feel the same way as I did.

Sales Experience

First, we had to evade the Toyota salesmen loitering outside the dealership entrance. These guys were hungry!

Next, finding a Scion salesman was a problem They weren't in their office or on the lot.

Once a salesman was found, it was apparent that he had not read his brochures. He said the xB had side air bags!

The next salesman knew better and he had an xB in the color and transmission we wanted. We drove it, liked it, and were ready to buy it.

I asked directly if they charged any non-governmental fees, and the salesman sidestepped the question. When asked again, he stated that they did not.

After spending considerable time on the purchase paperwork (they insist on finance paperwork even for cash deals) we finally arrived at the bottom line. I then noticed the "documentation fee" they had slipped into the paperwork. This fee was not disclosed at any point prior to this.

When I pointed out that he had said there was no non-governmental fees, the salesman said that the fee was a government mandate. I know better than this, so at that point the deal was off.

Service Experience:

We took our xB there for its first oil change and to have the skipping CD player replaced. We gave the service writer the TSB number over the phone while making the appointment and he said that there would be "No Problem."

When we went back to pick the car up, the mechanic had written "could not reproduce" on the paperwork and hadn't replaced the CD player. Well, this is no surprise, as one cannot expect the mechanic to sit there for 30 minutes waiting for one skip.

The service writer said "Sorry, we can't replace it if we can't reproduce the problem." I told him that the problem was occasional and clearly described in the TSB, which they hadn't bothered to look up. The service writer said that his hands were tied and I'd have to see the service manager.

We tracked down the service manager and he repeated the "can't replace it until we reproduce the problem" mantra. I finally pulled my own copy of the TSB out and made him read it. He disappeared into a back office for a few minutes and I finally heard an "authority" voice saying "Well, he has the TSB, so give him a new CD player!"

The service manager returned and said that we would have to bring the car back in a couple of weeks when the new CD player came in. This meant another trip to the dealer, another work interruption, and another disruption for our children.

We were treated as though we were somehow trying steal from the dealer. When we persisted, we were punished by having to make a second appointment even though the dealership obviously has CD players for new cars.

They did give the car a "free wash" when they changed the oil. The car wash guy used the same rag for both the rocker panels and the rest of the car. It took me an hour to clean the road tar from the roof of my white xB.
