I’m very happy with my purchase of a 2005 scion xb blue onyx pearl. I have had car one year today; 12,495 trouble free miles. I have had 2 free oil changes so far. Both times I just drove in to service dept and was waited on in a timely manor. I also ordered scion xB car cover and had fog lights installed. They also drilled holes in front bumper so I could mount a plate on the front and they did this at no charge. My salesman was Norris Johnson. He was very friendly and helpful. I love my xB. It is just so much fun and practical. I am 62 years old and I think the XB is a well kept secret from the public. They don’t know what they are missing. Thanks

I had an outstanding experience at Gene Reed Toyota. The Salesman (Avon) was very nice, helpful throughout the transaction. I have had the car for almost a month now and everytime I go to the dealership for parts, Avon comes out and ask how I'm doing with my new car and seems genuinely interested. The Parts Department is very helpful and I get my parts within two days if not in stock.
I initially went to West Ashley Toyota and was met by a Salesman (Lee) at the door. West Ashley Toyota didn't have any SCION's on the lot but kept pressuring me to sign paperwork for a car that they would have in the future. I told them that Gene Reed had a tC on the lot that I wanted and I just wanted to check what they had. I had to tell the salesman that I was going to go to Gene Reed and test drive the car and I would come back to him to buy the car just to get him to stop harrassing me. I will never buy anything from West Ashley Toyota after this experience.

My experience at Gene Reed was far more exeptional than any dealer I've been to. the salesman let my tc sell itself. There was very little presure or stress involved.

I went to Gene Reed to check on an XB. Salesman seemed fine. I left thinking about it. They never contacted me afterwards. Unlike any dealer I've been to. Took the wife back to buy and the salesman left and went home in the middle of the deal. The sales manager acted like he could care less about it. Insulted me with an offer $2000 less than Kelly Blue said it should be on my trade. I still have never have heard back from anyone at the dealership. Called and talked to the general manager about it and told me they are supposed to at least call me and thank me for coming in. I ask if he could match the price of Dick Dyer and he told me that the doc fee was state regulated. Yeah right! I told him I was going to Dyer's and all he said was that if they can't find me what I'm after that they probably could. Dyer's had what I wanted on the lot and for $200 less!!! I'll pass on Gene Reed and take my XB to West Ashley for service!

Purchased my Xb from Gene Reed. Made the sale easy for them, I knew what I wanted. Was given a respectable price offer for my trade-in (an '99 Miata). Love the Xb, but have had difficulty with the options that I requested. Small details nothing to distract from my new car. Finace department person was nice, salesman was nice but was somewhat uninterested after the deal was struck. If you know what you want, you can get a good deal from them. Do your hoomework with finacing...
