I started at one dealership with a trade in. They were only giving me $1800 for my 2001 Tiburon, I still had $4000 to pay off. I just couldn't pull of another $2200 on top of my down payment. I went to Johnston's and sat down with Greg, they reviewed my car and Greg came back with a $3000 trade in value. That was a much better number to hear than $1800. Well I sold my car privately and didn't need the trade in. Everything went smoothly after the first time I went there which was in August. I called the dealer almost every week to check up on my order. As soon as it came in, my salesman Greg called me and told me it was there. I picked it up on October 18th, and have been happy since with it.

Let me preface this by saying I have purchase 12 new cars so I might be expecting more than some. In general, Johnstons Scion was no better/worse than any other car dealer. To be fair, I tried to see Sam or Gino but they were never available when I was there. I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door, knew the price only decision was to see what color was in stock. That was simple enough, but it took over 3 hours to do just that including a test drive. Second visit a week later, same scenario over 3 hours to get a test drive for my wife and contract written up. After the second visit, the F&I department totally destroyed my experience. But that occurs in every dealership. I did talk to the someone in charge at the dealership that I was ready to walk and take my money elsewhere. Seems when the F&I guy is out, no one can function. No back up at all for him. Delivery day was excellent (thanks AJ). Car prep immaculate.
I purchased a Scion XB. after visiting many other dealerships, I found this one to be the "OASIS" of the dealer world. I put them to the test with my many questions and visits. The sales department worked as a team. They never made me feel thet I would be spoiling someones "UP" if I asked them a question. I never heard the words, "what can I do to earn you business today." or "what's it going to take to put you in this car today" etc. They let me take my time. When I drove away with my new XB, I felt I spent my money well. I also felt that they will alway back me up with any questions or concerns I may have.
Now I am coming up on 5,000 miles on the vehicle and time for my first "service" with them ............... Stay Tuned !!!

To start off, I contacted a few dealers before eventually going with Johnston's. A lot of other salesmen I dealt with via phone/e-mail would give me the run-around; telling me how I'd have to wait almost 2 months to get a tC with the options I want, in the color I want. I first talked to Sam Walter after another tC owner recommended him and he was very honest and upfront with his approach, and quick to respond to any questions I had. Long story short, most of the dealers didn't have the tC in stock, but when I went to Johnston's, they had an Indigo Ink in their showroom that I sat in for about 5 minutes (to inhale all the awesomeness this car exudes). Well, as much as I liked the Indigo, I liked Flint Mica even more. The car arrived about 3 weeks later, with all my options. A very nice buying experience indeed. Thank you to everyone at Johnston's.

Scion "SAM" is one of the best Scion Dealers around, Johnston's SCION was honest and very clear about all options and billing processes. I highly recomend Johnston's SCION in Middletown NY, Exit 3E off I-84. I have told all of my freinds and family about SCION and the benefits of owning one.
I decided to check out Johnston Scion after driving around in my friend's xB. After arriving at the center and looking at the different Scions on the floor, I was greeted by Gino Corona. He was very friendly, super helpful and had an excellent "no-pressure" attitude. He very thorough and explained all my payment options, as well as the different options available on the xB. The displays had many of the options available for the Scions on display and it made it much easier to decide what I wanted on my xB. After my first visit to Johnstons Scion, I knew I'd be buying my first new car from them.
The purchasing process was very quick and painless. Everything was explained clearly in regards to my payment options and when I could get the car. The best was having the car's plates and registration processed directly at the store, saving me a trip to the DMV.
It's an excellent dealership and I was more than impressed with Gino and the sales and service staff. I would definitely recommend dealing with Johnstons for a new Scion!

Well here's my story. I was looking to buy my first car. I have been saving and planning for quite a while but at first I was very disappointed for what appeared to be my options for cars, until i met Gino Corona. Gino was wonderful. He explained everything to me and never once made me feel like I HAD to buy something from him. I was extremely nervous but after about 5 minute with Gino it was if we had been friends for years. At first I was looking at the xa but i had really fallen for the tc. Gino helped me see that I could afford this car. I wanted to sign all the papers right then and there but I went home to think about it and 2 days later I was back in ready to buy. I purchased the tc in the azure blue. I love my car!! The best thing I can say about Gino is that he really cares about his customers.. he calls me to check and see how I am doing with the car.. not something most places do. He also made my parents feel very comfortable... they love him just as much as I do. Thank you Gino you don't even know how wonderful you are!! Thank you for everything words can't explain how happy I am!! I recommend you to everyone looking for a car.

At first, I didn't know which options I wanted, which model I wanted, etc.
Then I just casually spoke to Gino Corona.. little did I realize he was the Scion sales manager. Laidback, informative, good guy.
My friend and I took a test drive in an xB, just to see how it felt. Gino sat in the back for the ride. In fact, after a minute, it was almost like he was testing it out with us.
Just a sweet operation. Special VIP card from the dealership after purchase, tags taken care of right there and some decent materials sent home from time to time (new owners session, etc.)

I posted a message to the Scion Search forum, looking for an auto tC. Within 30 minutes 'Scion' Sam from Johnston's had PMed me back with the details of a Indigo Ink Pearl tC waiting at the dealership. I'm based in Northern NJ, Johnston's is in Middletown NY, about an hour's drive. So, I went up to the dealership the following evening, and had signed the paperwork that same night. Went back a few days later with my wife to pick it up.
Absolutely no faults whatsoever with the service - Sam was meticulous in describing the tC and its features, and covering Scion's general philosophy (he is definitely passionate about Scion - not an experience I'd had at some other dealers.) I arranged financing at the dealership (TFS) and got everything wrapped up within a couple of hours.
Delivery was a breeze - just signed the remaining paperwork and we were ready to go. Sam and Johnston's Scion are a great example of a Scion-buying experience. It also has to be a record in terms of wait time - we went from no tC to being tC owners in less than a week!
And no - I have not been renumerated for these comments... just a very happy customer.
