My experience was terrible! I called in ahead and told the sales rep that I wanted to purchase an automatic black cherry tC that day that they had in stock. When I got there, I asked to try out a 5 speed as well. I decided on the auto. When we got back to the dealership, the sales rep said that another rep put a "hold" on the car because another couple was driving in (they were not there) to check out the car I wanted to buy right then. Needless to say I was floored! Here I was with cash in hand ready to buy and could not get the dealer to sell me the car. On top of that, the sales rep (his name was Hollin) left me to wander the showroom while the other potential buyer came in and either bought or rejected the car. Did not even offer to buy me a soft drink! I finally just left. Good news is I went over to Rockville Scion and purchased a car that evening....and got another $250 for my ragged out Jetta over what Laurel Scion wanted to give me. Don't shop here!

Laurel Toyota Scion claims to be the #2 Toyota dealership in the country (behind Longo). As soon as I walked in the salespeople were eager to assist. They were helpful without being pushy. The entire dealership subscribes to the 'no hassle - no haggle' approach not just the Scion department. After test driving, I went back the next day to order the car. It arrived just when they said it would (8 days later). Purchasing was a breeze. I was always treated respectfully even though I'm relatively young.
The service department is bit disappointing. I took the car back after a week to get the accessories installed (fog lights, security, LED, and Sirius). I just dropped it off and was told they'd call in about 4 hours to pick it up. An hour later they told me they only had XM and not Sirius and told me that's what I purchased (even though I have 3 pieces of paper signed by dealer reps saying I purchased Sirius). Seems they should review orders ahead of time. This is an okay dealership.

This is a large, high-volume dealership. So, you’re likely to find at least one Scion to test drive and/or purchase. The sales people are lined up and take turns dealing with the next customer to come through the doors. Don’t expect any personal attention. They herd you in; they herd you out. They know how to get through a sale quickly. The sales people must be on commission. But, that’s where the efficiency ends. The business and service departments are just punching the clock and while some were friendly, others were downright rude. During my first experience with the service department, very little went correctly. They couldn’t fix one thing without damaging another. It took weeks to resolve simple issues. Neither the service rep, nor the service manager ever recognized or apologized for my inconvenience. The salesperson will tell you that their dealership is different than the others, that they put the customer first (heard that before, did you?). My experience suggests otherwise. This is a big place where the disconnection between the sales, service, and business offices can result in the customer paying for their mistakes. If service after the sale is important to you, go elsewhere.

When I was looking to purchase my Xb I did a search of the area to find a manual tranny. This was one of two dealers with a manual. They were closer so we went there first. They had NO "scion" sales people, you were taken care of by the "next" salesman when you walked in the door. The guy who took us for a test drive knew less about the Xb than I did. I asked about any other manuals they might have comming in soon to see if they had a camo(my first color choice) on the way. He came back and said the only manual they had comming anytime soon was "an orange one" I asked if he meant a hot lava. He didn't even know what I was talking about. After test driving I checked out their other Xa and Xb cars. They seem to have lots of options already on the cars. So you end up paying for floor mats and bumper "stickers" even if you didn't want them.
They are however a great place to sell your old car. I never even bother doing a trade in at another dealer since they came to town. Most dealers can't come close to what Carmax offers for your old car.

Excellent experiance. Nick Choi was my sales person. Took me through the whole process. I had a car appaised more than I owed. If ever you want to trade in you car, check out appaisers at your local CarMax. The financing process took about 30 minutes. I would definitely buy from them again. I had a really long review on CarMax on this site. But it no longer exist. Beware however that the other two banks (other than TFS) they may try to finance you is Banc of America and CarMax bank. YOu are better off with TFS or your own bank or Credit Union. Also, remember the more you pay upfront as much as possible, the less your financing. In regards to appraisal, Nick informed me to make sure the Appraisers dont think I am buying a car from them. The appraisers, according to him, may actually lower the trade in value in a bit. Also dont let the appraiser see that you are handing in two sets of keys. Just dress normal. No need to dress in a suit or something. Everyone is considered equal. However you financial situation is up to you. Of note, although they are no hassle, once you walk in the door, some of the sales people will greet you. Dont worry, it's just a friendly greeting. But just be prepared to say you dont need any help just checking out the cars. Or ask that you be immediately directed to a qualified Scion sales person.
