I asked why I should buy from them and not someone close to me and they told me that I would pay less in taxes because the purchase was made in Lake County. I told them that it didn't matter where I bought from, it is where I lived that would determine the taxes. Deb told me that wasn't the case. That since I bought in lake county, only lake county taxes would apply. Knowing this didn't sound right, I went to a friend of mine that is a car dealer and asked him if this was the case. He told me that what Deb told me was a lie. If I had bought from Libertyville, Cook county would have sent me a bill in the mail. I had put down a deposit but quickly took that back and placed an order with a dealership closer to me. The other dealer I went through told me that Libertyville had a history of misleading their customers.

I am very glad I chose to order through Livertyville Scion.

I ordered my car over the phone in June and they had it in stock 7/1/04 when the cars 1st started arriving.

I was very happy when the dealer gave me a stick shift driving lesson while picking up my car.

A couple months later, the glass wind deflector part of the sunroof shatterred when driving (I don't know how). I was at school in Wisconsin; the delaership there made me book an appointment, wait 2 hours at the dealership, and go home with broken glass just to order a new part. The part took several weeks, it arrived at the end of the semester -back in Chicago, no help. I called Libertyville, they ordered the part without me even coming in. I still had to wait several weeks for this part, but I didn't waste 2 hours in the waiting room.

I had a similar probelm when buying an accessory from Northbrook Scion which is where I live. I called Libertyville, and they just ordered the accesory without me coming in. 1k chr

Went in there for information about the xB and was told that if I wasn't ready to buy I could just go home and look at the Scion website. Sat in the showroom for 30 minutes and noone would help me. One guy even asked if I could afford it and if I had bad credit!!!! Don't wear baggy jeans in this place. Staff looked snobbish.

After my horrible experience with Don Jacobs (Milwaukee, WI), and being told I wasn't going to have a car for a loooong time, I gave a call down to this dealership. I had called someone else here a few weeks prior, and was sent an email the day before getting the bad news from Don. But anyway.

They said they just recieved a Black tC off the truck, and it was presently for sale. Manny Kalou took my call, and proceeded to write the order up, fax me all the information to where I work, and slapped the deposit down on it all right over the phone. I was in shock at how professionally he was able to handle this out of state transaction, so quickly.

After a couple days wait, I drove down there to pick it up.. Paperwork was simple and straightforward, and the deal you get off of the Toyota Platinum warrany is too good to not pass up. (6yr, 100k Platinum warranty = $1,080. Outrates even online 3rd parties).

The *only* bad thing about it all, is the optional equipment ordering system. I still (10 days) have not heard when my Spoiler, Ground Effects, Lighting, Stereo (STOCK!!), etc will be installed.

Otherwise, I would highly recommend doing business with this location, even though it's Scion area is still pretty new.

Had a very good experience at this dealership. Scott Waller was there for us the whole time from the day we walked in the door (6/19) to the day we picked up our 2005 BOP xb (7/8).

Even though we had to wait, we understood since they had just started offering the Scion's in the Midwest in June. It was well worth the wait.

This dealership, even though thier knowledge was a little lacking when it came to the actual scion product was A+ when it came to the actual car selling experience they were quick, efficient, fair and worked hard for my business before and after the sale.
