We were immediately greeted upon exiting our car. Turned out that the salesman knew my husband. After test driving an xB, I asked about the sales price and was told about Toyota's "Pure Pricing."
Fortunately for me, I had done my legwork and knew that Beaman Scion of Nashville was listing their xB's on eBay with an asking price AND "Best Offer" considerations (they still do).
I told the salesman what I was willing to pay ($750 off sticker) and that I could give it to them or to Beaman. The salesman was willing to ask for the discount and after a few whispers and a phone call to "Marvin," whom I was told was Scion District Manager, they accepted my offer.
Having previously been an F&I person at a car dealership myself, I knew that I didn't need gap insurance, no credit life, no extended warranty (it's a Toyota), and my own credit union. F&I guy wasn't too pushy once he knew that I knew the inside track.
A+ experience. Use that eBay info to get your own better price in TN.

It seems that these guys don't care about the customer. I ordered a Scion and had waited about 2 months and they never could get me any info on it. They acted like they just didn't care. I had my loans all set up and they were about to expire. My car wasn't in and the rates had went up. I called and expressed my concerns, and Greg Pope tells me its only going to be like 5-10 dollars more a month. Yeah that’s like and extra 300 or more dollars a month. He was of no help and knew nothing about the cars he sold. They suck don’t go there.
