1st, went to Oxmoor (closer to home by many miles) and was NOT impressed. Co-worker of wife said to try Toyota of Louisville, so out we went.
Talked to Tom Duckworth and got on list to get new Scion (had not started shipping.)
When the cars (08 xBs) were getting ready to ship, placed deposit on car and awaited call from dealer. Wife wanted Silver/auto, so when it came in, Ann Erwin called and took care of paperwork.
Dealing with Tom and Ann was a pure pleasure. Was all up-front, no pressure, honest deal. The lady in the Financing Dept was the same way, told us the rates, terms, etc. with no BS or pressure.
Honestly, could not believe that the dealer was as up-front & honest as they were, but am glad of it.
The doc fees, etc. are about $500 less at this dealer than Oxmoor, just FYI.
We WILL go back to this dealer and recommend them to our friends as well.

I was very surprised to have such a great car buying experience. Especially considering my horrible experience at Oxmore Toyota. Tom Duckworth seemed to be trying to help me make an informed decision, rather than just sell me a car. They are also great when it comes to getting your Scion serviced. The only part I didn't like was having to wait 2 weeks to get an xB delivered from Ohio because they didn't have the color I wanted in stock, no biggie though. This was my first car, and my first dealership experience, and I must say, I will defiantly buy from Scion of Louisville again.

When my fiancé and I were in the market for a new car, I definitely knew that I wanted an xB. Since I live about 45 miles away, this dealership was the closest to my hometown. When we arrived we had to hunt Patrick down, but he was an excellent salesman from the get go. He could answer any question that we had about any of the models. He showed us some modifications that he kept in a folder on the desk. My favorite part was that there was no pressure for anything; he never tried to persuade us into getting something that we didn't need. Actually, when we wanted to upgrade the wheels, he suggested the upgrade stock options instead of the more expensive ones, because he said the ride quality would be better. When the items that we had ordered had come in and were being installed, Patrick and the guys in the service department kept me up to date every step of the way. Excellent service all the way around. I don't plan on doing business with any other dealership ever again!
Very knowledgeable!!!!

I am very impressed with Scion of Louisville. Two different salesmen gave me test drives in an xA and xB last summer, just letting me enjoy the cars with no pressure. I was also given a tour of the Scion "sales center". This winter I decided to buy, and found that Scion of Louisville, though it was not conveniently close to me, had $547 less fees than the other closer dealer in Louisville.
They were pretty much temporarily sold out of Scions, with only had one xB in stock, and not the color I wanted. Because I wanted a car with less than 5 miles, undemonstrated and un-dealer-traded, they explained the long waiting process very well, which I accepted. I signed a purchase order and paid a $500 deposit to lock up an incoming TCM MT xB. They called with it reached port and gave an arrival date, which they hit pretty close. Total wait was 4 weeks.
Their service department is in a large building, which I think gives better space and working conditions (heating, cooling) than the other dealer in Louisville.

So far my experience has been perfect. My car is on the train from Portland, other than the wait, the guys here have been the best car salespeople I have ever dealt with. Patrick was quite possibly the most knowledgeable salesman I've ever had for a test drive. Neal was the guy who actually got my car ordered when I came back to order the car, and they spent 30 minutes looking frantically through their inventory to get me a manual xA.
The only complaints I have are not really with the dealer but with Scion/Toyota itself. There are just NO manual Scions in Kentucky. This is not the fault of the dealer, per say, but the Dealers in Kentucky could do a better job of keeping a manual or two in stock for test driving.
Like I said, I do not have my car yet, and I may change this review once I get the car, but I doubt it. Top notch people all around.

I recommend this dealer to anyone in the louisville area looking to buy a scion. The staff was very helpful and not pushy at all. I told them exactly what I wanted and luckily they had a BCP Manual xB already ordered. So I bought the car before it arrived at the dealer. There was no pressure into buying accesories at all. Very good experience and A++ service.

Best buying exerience I have ever had. Very friendly and professional (both patrick and tom). I was never pressure throughout the deal. Always extremely helpful and knowledgable. I even received my TC several days earlier than I was told.
I would highly recommend this dealer to everyone. Even though it was much further than another Scion dealer, the experience was well worth the drive. I also received the best deal on my trade in from Scion of Louisville after visiting two other Scion dealers.

I was worried because my first experience with a Scion/Toyota dealer in Louisville was very negative (Don’t ever shop at Oxmoor Toyota unless you want to deal with the same pain) and yet I wanted an xB soooo bad.
I called Tom Duckworth, the manager of Toyota of Louisville, and told him what I wanted. Without forcing me to come in and give a deposit or sign papers he went into action to locate the exact xB I wanted. He found one within the week and worked on swapping one of his best inventory items for it. He was so concerned that it might have 100 miles on it, from the dealer switch, and I would be concerned. Absolutely not, I was thrilled.
The purchasing process went smoothly and all the papers were in order when I arrived. The dealer even ordered me a specialty plate at no extra charge. All my accessories were in order and they had arranged for a fax from my bank to clear my credit.
Once I got the car home the service didn’t end. At my return for my first oil change I had a few scratches on the interior and on the door handle. Tom gave me a replacement car to drive back to work and took care of all the detailing, free of charge. I am sure, if he wanted to be strict about it, he could have charged me for the minor scratches.
Tom and Sam Swope (AKA Scion of Louisville/Toyota of Louisville) really took care of me. They got me the car I wanted (Black Cherry, xB, Automatic) in a rush with minimum wait and zero pain. Now, if I could only get them to take over the payments I would be in heaven!
Thanks Tom and crew!
