Ok… lansing Spartan scion is a weird one… There is this guy named Jamie, who is supposed to help us out with our stuff… Well, he really doesn’t seem to know anything… We ask him little things like… “Can we get a discount? My friend who bought his car from Scion Chicago got some discounts for his door sill… he got it for 70 dollars” He doesn’t know how to answer us… He went to his manager and the manager said… “hey, scion is a pure price merchandise… there is no haggling… Scion Chicago doesn’t follow the rules… But we DO follow the rules” (She gave the sweetest smile, I’ve ever seen in my life, while she said that) Then she went back in… Then we told him… “We’d like our car to be new… and not the one we just test driven out side”… he said “that is only run for a few miles… a new car will also have miles on it because the factory will test drive it and we’ll test drive it to make sure it works fine…And it’ll end with about 50 something miles!” (BULLSHIT!! My friend finally bought her car in Ann arbor dunning scion with only 1 mile on it) “Thanks, we still want it new!! (We actually believed him about the test driving thing at that time) we don’t mind if you guys, the staffs and the factory has test driven it… we just don’t want other customers to test drive it ”, we said. Then he don’t know what to do… He called his manager out again… who said the same thing all over again to us… and said that she might be able to get the car only after 2 months if we want it new and it’ll still have 50 miles on it… we said “ok, we still want the new car” She added “the black cherry scion outside has 6000 miles on it… we only allow the serious buyers like yourself to test out the azure pearl one” (another bullshit, coz one test driving round is only two miles, if it has 6000 test driving miles on it, there will be thousands of scion users in this small city… but me and my girlfriend has only seen 3 different scion TCs here… we are not talking about 3 different colors… we looked at the driver too!! One white, and two silvers) But they still tried to press this psychology thing on us until we finally said… “ok, we’ll get the customer test driven one” Then… We went back and arranged the insurance stuff….. When we are ready to get the car… we asked about the APR… through the phone… Jamie said, “it will be below 4.5%”… then we went there… we thought it is a good deal… when we got there… he said, “ok… you guys can have the car now (the way he said it sounded like we are so desperate for the car), the APR will be 5.1%” Then, my friend said “What!! You said it is 4.5%” He said, “I’m sorry… it is 5.1% now” Then we got pissed and cancelled the deal. Jamie also said this when We seemed unhappy about the 5.1% APR...,"If you
don't like the 5.1% APR, you guys can choose not to buy the car!" We thought
that was very rude... So that was the ultimate reason why we cancelled the
deal... And went for Dunning scion in Ann arbor… where we also did not get a good experience… Check out my review there.

I bought my Scion Xb at Spartan Motor Mall with Jamie Deneen, but when I went to pick it up, she was no longer there, so another guy by the name of Charles Boyd helped me out. He was great.
He informed me when my Xb was coming into the dealership, and set up a time for delivery, something that Jamie did not do.
He delived the car, and was cool about everything.
Less than 24 hours after I had the vehicle, it was vandalized, so I called Charles. He did a great job at getting the vehicle taken care of, and fixed. This was an insurance issue, but he handled everything.
My experience with Charles was great, but the service manager, and some of the other people were not.
I don't like to be negative, but I met the owner of Spartan, and he did not seem to care once I had taken the car, and the service manager tried to get me to pay for the vandalism, and I don't think that was right.
I will not go back to Scion in Lansing because of that..but I would if Charles were still there.

first off, let me say that i was out of town when i purchased my TCM Scion XB! I live 980 miles from Spartan Toyota/Scion, and i actually went the the dealer to caompare what info i had aquired from my dealer back home. As soon as i was hooked up with Deanna, i knew she would treat me right! she answered most of my questions, and the ones she didn't know...she found out for me.
She ran my credit..yadda, yadda, yadda....i was good to go, but the only thing i couldn't decide on was the color of my box. i have never had the luxuary of choosing a color for my brand new car! this was exciting for me..and i think Deanna was just as happy about it as i was. I was torn between a TCM box (was my original choice), and a BCP. The dealer had a TCM, and a Camo in stock, but i couldn't decide, so i took a few days to think about it.
a day later, i'm back at the Spartan Toyota, and i sign papers for my TCM which has ONLY 1 MILE on the odometer! The sunroof was installed with in the next few days, and i went to the dealer to get my brand spankin new box. Deanna ran through all the features of the car, and told me this and that, and i felt really good about my purchase.
If any of you are in the Lansing area looking to buy a Scion (or Toyota for that matter), Deanna at Spartan Toyota is at the top of my recommendation list!!!!
