Default Question about VVT-I

I'm assuming that Toyota's VVT is similar to Honda's VTEC. If that assumption is correct, at what RPM does the motor cross over to the more radical timing?
Honda's crosses over at pretty high rpm. In my automatic Accord, I'm fairly sure it has never crossed over into VTEC territory. I'm getting a TC in a few weeks and I'm hoping the cross over point is at a lower rpm than Honda's is. Does anyone know for sure when it crosses over?

Thanks

It's been covered a few times but there are no set point at which our engine "crosses over". VVT-I means variable valve timing, so the engine will adjust periodical through the entirety of the rev.

It also does not affect lift, only valve overlap. So it really isnt anything like VTEC when you think about it. Similar in some ways, but not the same.

And it is correct that it is constantly variable. There is not cutover point.

previously discussed and no need to continue this thread.
