The mileage rating, 22/28, uses the 2008 standard. Using the old standard that you are used to seeing, it would be rated 25/31.

Been driving my 2008 xB 2 weeks, love it (traded 5-speed 2006 xB). sticker shows 22/28, I have been averaging 31.7 MPH. cost: 17,100 but mine came with extras..... lit door sills, 16 inch alloy rims, spoiler + upgraded stereo, blackberry in color. Loved the 2006 and am MUCH happier with this one.

Just got my new BCM Xb2 with stick. first time out, 30.5 MPG between 70-75 MPH!! Yay! 28.2 MPG 80-85 MPH!
Considering the vast gain in performance, MPG dosen't suffer much at all. Using the old gun it and coast method, my est average can be as high as 26 mpg in the city - still trying to break that record!

considering it is the same engine as the tC, but i am sure it is a variation of it..

the tC is rated at 22/29 or someting like that, and i average 20.7mpg for straight city driving, of course alot of it is spirited, but i consider it to be pretty horrible.
