Default New to SL few questions

Ok so I was looking around the net for a place with people that knew what they were talking about, and it seems I found the right place.

I bought an 05 Tc in the passed couple of weeks and im looking for different modifications and suggestions. I was looking for Spoilers first and foremost for my car, and I was attracted by Carbon Fiber Shogun style wing, since my car is Black, a Carbon Fiber wing might blend it well, could anyone with aftermarket spoiler post pics of their car, that would be appreciated.

I have noticed my TC has alot of torque, I would be looking to modify my car in order to obtain more horsepower, any recommendations on what to do to my car in order to maximize performance (anything short of superchargers or turbo kits)

welcome, first people are going to call you a ricer for wanting to put a wing on your tc. it is 100% pointless.

two, for horsepower, add cold air intake, headers, s-pipe and exhaust. and a full set of nst lightweight over and underdrive pullys.

go to the top of the page and under features is the link for parts, and there are lots of great parts listed there, it is agreat place to start hunting for different parts.

oh, and fyi, once those n/a bolt ons get you hooked on more horsepower, you'll start wishing you spent the money on a turbo! lol.

eeh, name calling doesnt matter to me, Ricers down here are characterized by their busted cars and their God aweful sounding mufflers that sound like firecrackers ate a bad batch of tacos.

Im looking for a spoiler that makes the car stand out, very nice looking. I'd like to receive a nice rich sound from my car's exhaust, while avoiding the trademark Ricer sound. Ive heard the header install along with a nice exhaust system is helpful in achieving a nice rich import sound. How true is that?

factory exhaust is made with the goals to be reduction in noise pollution and virbration for comfort. they also use cheap bends that restrict airflow.

performance exhaust aims to optimize airflow with minimal regard for sound and comfort, thus reducing backpressure. they also use mandrel bends (or should) to prevent restrictive bends.

beware however that in most cases, combining aftermarket headers and exhaust results in a very raspy undersiable exhaust note, but this can easily be countered by one or two 18 in resonator welded onto the mid-pipe.

to get you started, i highly recommend the following sites:

www.dezod.com
www.zpiracing.net
www.trdsparks.com
www.mcgeorgeparts.com

take the time to analyse the different parts and prices they have and try to map out how well everything will work together.

one thing to avoid is piggyback ecu's. on an n/a tc, they don't do very much at all. they are only useful on boosted tc's.

dont do the spoiler, it will not look nice one bit! You want carbon fiber then get the lip spoiler in CF. Trust us when we say this! Dont Get It! As for power, depending on the cash you have, boost will get you the most. If you want to stay N/A the I/H/E (Intake, Headers & Exhaust) will be a good combo.

i reccommend trd intake, then monster motorworks headers and s-pipe because they are the only 4-2-1 headers, after that, get the dezod s-pipe back n/a exhaust, or the zpi s-pipe back (cat back) exhaust.

i think most quality exhaust systems are very comparable to eachother, it really comes down to sound and look preferences. there is a thread around here with exhaust sound clips for your listening pleasure. do a searh for it in drivetrain and power.
