Default wiring foot well lights

i have 2 sets of the puddle lamp lights that i want to set up under the foot well of the passenger and driver side. i'm hoping to do this when i get out of work this afternoon. i'm sure this has been covered before but i can;t seem to find where.

i need to know how i go about doing this. what do i need to take apart? what do i need to hook up to what. etc.

i am trying to have it so i have a switch to turn them on/off and put the switch to the left of the steering wheel where the 4 spots are. i'm not sure how i am suppose to pop out one of the slots for the switch though.

any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

:note to the angry 15 year olds on this site:

i am aware there is a search feature and i have tried it.

I think that thread covers cathodes. and there are a million and one threads that I didn't feel like looking through.

I hooked mine up to the cigarette lighter. Ran one line from the power on the cig lighter (black) to the switch. From switch to the lights. Ground I put it to the bottom left of the switches, if you pop out the plastic piece near the door you can find a bolt that holds part of the dash piece down, i unscrewed that slipped a O ring behind so it was touching the metal body, screwed it back down and popped the plastic piece back on. Just tapped into the ground wire for the switch to the ground wires for the lights.

To get to the back of the cig lighter, you'll have to pop up that piece of the dash. Just grab and pull up.
I mounted my led bars with doublesided foam tape. There's a weird plastic cover on the passenger side, and i just sticky taped it onto that.

There's a square panel w/ a "handle" in it underneath the switch panel area (where the 4 spots are). Just yank on that and pop it out, you'll be able to reach up from the inside and pop the blanks out.
