View Full Version : check out the Bazuka sub....sounds great..... toyotaisme 05-11-2007, 05:29 PM http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r217/toyotaisme/2008%20xb/xbsub1.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r217/toyotaisme/2008%20xb/xbsub.jpg mikemann 05-11-2007, 05:57 PM is that an xb option now? Never saw that listed before? HiimSHON 05-12-2007, 12:00 AM looks nice! toyotaisme 05-13-2007, 03:06 PM is that an xb option now? Never saw that listed before? Yes if a factory option. JayZee 05-14-2007, 05:23 AM I can't seem to find the option on the website. What is the size of the sub and how does it hook up. Would it plug in directly into the factory radio? :ttth: scionofPCFL 05-14-2007, 06:07 PM I can't seem to find the option on the website. What is the size of the sub and how does it hook up. Would it plug in directly into the factory radio? :ttth: It will go directly into the Premium HU. Is it carpeted? I need to see some higher res pics, as it is, I'm not keen on the way that looks. JayZee 05-14-2007, 08:51 PM Can't seem to find the Bazooka Bass Unit anywhere on the Scion Website. Where can I order the unit? Cooze 05-19-2007, 01:18 PM Can't seem to find the Bazooka Bass Unit anywhere on the Scion Website. Where can I order the unit? It will available in around june in most states and will run about $449 I hope this helps out. MikeMayer 05-23-2007, 12:29 AM I'm looking forward to this... Schmohey 05-23-2007, 03:26 PM Shouldn't they put it in the holes on the C-Pillars? Basilius 05-23-2007, 07:12 PM For those of us that bought the base stereo, is installing this even going to be possible? toyotaisme 05-23-2007, 10:28 PM For those of us that bought the base stereo, is installing this even going to be possible? It will not be a problem with any of the new units. ToeCutter05 05-25-2007, 03:32 PM FYI: This is a factory option, I'm picking up my 2008 xB (White) today and already worked out a deal for the xB sub package. I went with the base stereo and I've been assured that the sub will work with the base unit without issue. I traded my '05 tC for the xB and they forgot to include the tC's factory sub on the appraisal. I told them I'll be taking it out of the tC before trading it. They *really* wanted the tC sub with the deal, so they discounted the xB sub by 50% (It lists for $429 plus install). They're saying mid-June for delivery on the sub. The tC's sub was adequate, you can get much better aftermarket subs for similar cash, but you can't beat the ease of integration with a factory sub. So, call me lazy ;-) MikeMayer 05-25-2007, 08:12 PM What are the specs on this thing? Its kind of an expensive sub. The conviencence of its integration alone is almost worth the price. But i'd really like to know some more about it. I have a sub already and I don't want to install it if this one is going to be a better one. The sub I already have is the powered bazooka that was the factory option for the xb1. Thanks for any information! :) ToeCutter05 05-31-2007, 06:57 PM Is it just me or is Scion doing a crap job of getting info out on the 2nd gen xB accessories? I've been hounding my dealer for a week about this sub and I'm getting nothing back. Scion is supposed to be all about catering to those who wish to customize their rides, but no one has any info on exactly how we go about doing it? More marketing BS... ExcelRevs 06-02-2007, 09:36 PM give them a break, car came out 3 weeks ago... ToeCutter05 06-03-2007, 05:14 PM give them a break, car came out 3 weeks ago... I'm more than willing to give them a break, but I was promised it would be installed when i picked up my xB.....nearly 2 weeks ago. Now that I've taken delivery there's no word on when it's going to be available. I'm also sitting on a $210 credit for the sub I traded in with my tC that wasn't included on my lease buyout. Had they been upfront about it when I signed the purchase order, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me. Walk a block in my shoes before asking for sympathy for poor lil Scion... SquallLHeart 06-03-2007, 05:25 PM ^^ thats the issue with your dealership and their lack of knowledgeable people.... it's not completely Scion's fault. MikeMayer 06-10-2007, 05:17 AM So anyone hear anything new about this? I've got the cash ready...! :) rustedborg 06-10-2007, 02:41 PM Shouldn't they put it in the holes on the C-Pillars? I also thought there was supposed to be a sub option for those holes in the C-pillar. I'm waiting to find out. If I can get the dealership to install nice looking subs in those C-pillar spots then I'll get them. If there isn't a C-pillar sub option then I'm just going to get the cheap-o-looking C-pillar storage nets from the Sparks website. If there isn't a C-pillar sub option then I'm just going to get the cheap-o-looking C-pillar storage nets from the Sparks website. I think it's a speaker kit for the c-pillars, not a sub. I read it somewhere, but I can't remember where, and I definitely haven't seen any pictures of it yet. MikeMayer 06-12-2007, 07:38 AM I did some research and it seems the part number for the "Subwoofer Kit" is: PTS20-52080/7S uberspeed 06-15-2007, 04:01 AM This interests me. It's self powered? Any details? I googled the part number and came up empty... davematic 06-19-2007, 09:11 PM i was wondering...... i just got the 08 xb but i kept my sub from my 04 xb and was wondering if it will hook up to my premium stereo in the new one. will the old sub and wire plug in to the new radio ? NJthunder5spd 07-01-2007, 08:29 PM just google pts20-52080 the subwoofer kit is $429 from dealers ive found online for a friend of mine.. seems kinda steep for a basic powered subwoofer. From what I've seen in the new xB , the C-pillars look like they could handle a 6x9 speaker, alot of sound can be had with 6x9 and would get the volume off the floor in the back, and at head level :eyebrow: uberspeed 07-02-2007, 07:46 PM Thanks! Googled pts20-52080 and most dealers have it listed at $359. boxful 07-03-2007, 01:36 AM Shouldn't they put it in the holes on the C-Pillars? MikeMayer 07-03-2007, 06:02 AM So anyone know when its available? *anxious for low end* uberspeed 07-03-2007, 03:10 PM I contacted TRD Sparks and they said not yet, no ETA given either. cincinfocal 07-09-2007, 01:37 AM is there an instalation guide pdf out for this? i have my old 8" bazooka from the old ride and just want to hook it up here... uberspeed 07-09-2007, 01:56 AM No details yet unfortunately. From what I've gathered thus far it SEEMS to be an 8" subwoofer in a custom enclosure for the xB made by Bazooka. No idea on any other details and those are sketchy as well. I'd like to know what it's powered by, RMS, peak, etc. MikeMayer 07-09-2007, 01:59 AM Nearly two months since the OP posted this thing... And it appears to be one of the most viewed topics in ICE... Does anyone really know whats going on here? uberspeed 07-09-2007, 02:20 AM I'd appreciate some info as well, especially since it seemed to have been first posted/reported by a dealer apparently. Someone seemingly associated with Scion of Glendora. DL 07-20-2007, 01:17 AM Checked with dealer today , still not available???? :tap: HiphapaSole 07-20-2007, 05:11 AM thats pretty sick, and its the setup im looking for. Great success, Very nice! c0ld 07-22-2007, 07:27 AM You know, as soon as SEMA is over someone will come out with an aftermarket sub to fit the same location for cheaper and sounding better. Just wait it out, save some cash and get a better unit! Remember, FOOLS rush in...lol ExcelRevs 07-23-2007, 05:51 AM You know, as soon as SEMA is over someone will come out with an aftermarket sub to fit the same location for cheaper and sounding better. DL 07-31-2007, 08:23 PM Spoke with my dealer in MN today, they said the sub is available now.. MikeMayer 07-31-2007, 08:24 PM oh rly DL 08-08-2007, 06:34 PM oh rly Sorry, My dealer told me a lie... I called Sparks and asked my dealer to order it, they couldn't...Damn Scion makes this accessory stuff frustrating... MikeMayer 09-04-2007, 06:25 PM I just put my old bazooka from my 2006 xB in recently since this one was taking too long. Strapped it in with bungee cords... oh the hilarity. Matrixv01 10-26-2007, 11:22 PM Does anyone know when the h3ll this is going to available? cincinfocal 10-30-2007, 02:10 AM just pick up an 8" bazooka tube and wire it up... set the ssp to hear and turn the bazooka all the way up...at -3 on the head unit the thing bumps!!! just spliced it in to the rear speakers by the head unit... uberspeed 10-30-2007, 03:43 AM Does anyone know when the h3ll this is going to available? In that price range take a good look at other options, do yourself the favor. Matrixv01 10-30-2007, 03:48 PM Does anyone know when the h3ll this is going to available? I usually ask about options and the like to get more info as a benefit to all. I say "bad form old chap" to the OP, comes in and gives very little info and no follow up. I wonder how his dealership and sponsors feel about it. |
