Yes, I'm def into the headlights, but it'll be a few weeks until since I'm devoting all extra $$$ to the S/C fund right now. If you need the cash, I totally understand if you sell them to Han, so no biggie...just wanted to have an extra set for when I do the halos.

One of my friend has it.. try to find some sound clips on youtube.. sounds pretty good and slick.. but try to find soundclips for an Auto cuz im pretty positive that 5spd and auto makes the exhaust sound different.. atleast for a civic.. thats for sure.

We are moving our office location, so Kev has no internet (I have a Mac, so resetting 'net config is crazy easy...Kev has linux and don't know how to configure).

The whole reason I'm getting the TRD S/C is for the warranty...and once that's done, on go the 9.5 (or 12) lb pulley, bigger injectors, maybe an intake, then probably a re-flash (if it's available)...but in the meantime, it's all according to TRD (for the most part).

As far as your maxima...how much you willing to spend? You can pick one up for under $1000 off eBay...then we can rebuild the crap outta it.

The maxima is park on a st, and the inspection and stickers expire in july, then registration, i need insurance on the car for the registration of the plate...if I had a garage, I would deff keep it and mess with it! but i cant leave it on the st for ever

Since its friday! times to buy many parts! yippy!!! Springs, Sways, Camber links, "stiffy" engine damper. And whatever else i feel like purchasing! Where's everyone else.. they must come to the shindig on the 28th!

Engine damper...it's like having another motor mount at the top of the engine. It helps to stabilize the engine, especially at launch...it reduces wheel hop, and some say it smoothens the shift. Everyone that I've talked to about it (and by everyone, I mean all 3 people) or that I've read who had it say that it helps...but some say that there's a vibration when starting the car - so Dynamat reduces this.

how would this conflict with the strut bar, since the strut bar sits ontop of the valv cover

Well...you can do one of two things. You can put the damper under the strut bar, which will make it sit a tiny bit higher, or you can do what I'm planning on doing - put washers of the same height under the driver's side of the strut bar and then it'll sit evenly. I'm not sure about other strut bars and torque dampers combos - the only one I heard that works is the TRD strut bar...not sure if DC or Tanabe or Greddy will fit with the Ingalls or Weapon R. If you have both, you need to cut a small notch in the plastic piece at the windshield (where your wipers are) to compensate for the height increase in the strut bar. If you don't already have a strut bar, I would recommend getting just the torque damper...the strut bar doesn't make all that much difference, since the struts are already tied together by the firewall...but I got a REALLY good deal on mine, so I don't mind the little extra work...

Pretty much someone that can help us with the engine cradle...everything else should be okay...shocks/struts...springs...rear sway. Front sway's gonna be a b**ch, and then we need to git it aligned.

the fronts are a joke and i think the sway is fairly easy too. the rear takes some time but with the right tools it wouldnt be hard. well be doingmy bros car soon :)

Naw, I'm not looking forward to it...it seriously took upwards of 7 hours to do everything - sways, struts/shocks 'n' springs, and alignment. Though alignment took a bit of fiddling to get right.

thanks for the b-day wishes everyone. the shocks are just as quick as the springs and id sugest doing the front sway bar at the same time as doin the front springs/struts. it seems like it will be fairly easy if u try to install the sway bar from the middle. i cant wait to get the hotchkis set... 200$ woo hoo!!

$200 for the sways is a decent price! Got mine for $240 - they make a world of difference in the tC!!! the only thing I'm not looking forward to on the front is dropping the engine cradle...I don't have access to an extra jack or a lift...I think we may need to take Kev into a shop and have them do it - that'd be the safest be I know.

Shan i think all the years have the same antenna.. you could also ask for the honda element antenna too, i heard that was the same. Other than that i bought my antenna on ebay.. but with my stubby i get zero reception from radio....

i thought they all had the same antenna too, but someone said the newer models have the retractable antenna, so i wanted to be sure....

just ask for the stubby non retractable antenna from the s2k? lol...

Honestly, just check on eBay for S-2000 antennas - you'll most likely find ones that aren't Honda antennas, but knock-offs. Mine and Kev's (RS3) are aluminum...although reception stinks, I rarely use my radio, so it's no biggie for me - it looks really nice. Cisco's is all rubbery and flaccid ;) (j/k Cisco!), but he probably has better reception. If you go through Honda, you'll probably pay an arm and a leg for an actual S-2000 antenna.

I'm almost positive that Vince is taking the Injen off of me next week or so, but if we can get you one, I'll still put it on for you. In my opinion, if you're gonna get a sway, go all out! Get the Hotchkiss setup. And if we do springs, let's do shocks while we're at it - you'll need them relatively soon afterwards (the shocks are a good inch and a half shorter than the stock ones). I'll get you a price within a few days...just want to make sure that all's well with my S/C, and then I'll check for you.

Tell you what - If you wanna feel the Hochkiss sways/TRD shocks/springs setup, let's go for a ride up and down Kelly/Lincoln.

Dude, I'm telling you that the way you wanna drive, your shocks're gonna be gone in a year. I got the combo deal from Sparks for about $559 about a year ago. A lot? Yeah...but worth it. I'm not telling you this 'cause I want you to spend money, I'm recommending doing it correctly now so that you don't have to worry about it later!

But if I get shox, springs wouldnt that be to much of a drop due to kit?

Well, the springs are what lower ride height, and the shocks need to compensate for the drop. It won't be any different height-wise. The shocks just absorb the kinetic energy of any sudden movement in the suspension - they in no way prop the car up. TRD springs are the most mild (mine are TRD if you want to see the ride height).

Kev found TRD shocks for $430 shipped on eBay, so check there - if you pay any more on eBay, go to Sparks and get them - they have the best prices and service. Springs'll run you around $160. Both sways are around $270 or so (but a _____ to put on - figure you'd be taking it to a shop to get done unless you know someone). Like I said, I'd check eBay first. Also, once you drop it, you need to get the car aligned properly.

Do it right the first time, 'cause if the wifey thinks she's getting the ring soon, and you need to drop extra $$$ for shocks 'cause yours blew, wifey will be mad. And then she'll beat the s**t outta me and Kev. And then Kev will have to buy her a JT CD. Or you.

A full suspension upgrade is no cheap thing...chances are wifey's gonna kill me and Kev. But at least you'll be happy with the ride!!! :P
