I've had my 07 Silver tC for almost 2 months now and still can't get over the fact that there is no chrip when you lock your car.

Has anyone tried to add a horn to the circuit or anything??

 

I have seen a friend of mine with his 06 have a chirp on his alarm. It's an aftermarket though. It doesn't come stock like that nor does the scion security package offer it. You can add one though to answer your question.

 

^ Ditto. You'd have to add an aftermarket alarm to get it to work. The stock keyless entry will not honk or chirp - or if it does, no one has figured it out in the nearly 3 yrs they've been on the streets.

 

its amazing that the later years havent had it yet...it bothers me, i always have to look and make sure its locking

Why would you need to look to make sure it locks? Even if you press the Unlock button it'll lock itself in 30 seconds if you don't open the doors.

As for the other post... that's dumb. It honks when you lock/unlock via the buttons on the door too. While it's a good start at a little hack... that would just not work.

 

thanks that's what I was looking for...now to figure a way out to make it chirp only when the remote does it
