View Full Version : Now i cant make up my mind .....
CBSIMONSEZ 12-17-2003, 11:17 PM I have told every one that i was going with 16" wheels, for both comfort and stlye. the 5 spoke Sport Edtion Tekno @tirerack for $119 a piece. Well, i just found these wheels on Ebay today, and they are 17" but i like the look.

Has anyone ever heard of Detata wheels? Are they P.O.S. wheels? Basically im looking to dress up my lunch box ( when it gets here ..... grrrrr ) and not spend a hell of a lot of loot. It is, afterall, a business car, but man i like the design of these wheels. Whatcha think Scion family?
TheRedBox 12-17-2003, 11:27 PM I say get 17s.. I think you'll be happier with the way they look, and not loose the ride.
Rims are rims.. Just check what'l make you smile in the morning.
arinvolvo 12-17-2003, 11:28 PM i dig them...definitely different than what most people are sporting on their scions...those will make it stand out.
scionracerxb 12-18-2003, 12:49 AM ahhh..those are too bling bling for my liking...but if thats the style you like...then go 4 it....i would advise getting as big of rims that you can afford tho...you'll thank me later on
Mr_scion 12-18-2003, 10:59 PM as long as u like them http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/images/smilies/az.gif
I'm looking at getting some rims too and I went to my local rims place and asked them about a few different kinds (I'm looking at some Eagle Alloys), he told me that they're all pretty much made at the same factory and a different emblem is slapped on the side. Don't worry too much about the make, just like your style... that's what really matters.
its_ikon 12-19-2003, 04:29 PM I am not a big fan of chrome, but that might look good on a scion. just make sure you are happy with everything. if you get chrome, bigger seems to better.
CBSIMONSEZ 12-19-2003, 11:42 PM I was afraid of this. I too am starting to think its too BLING BLING. Not only will the car get noticed, but i will have to install a kill switch so the xB cant be lifted. Grrrrrr
I like the look of alloy ( polished? ) and i think that it may too much chrome on a Black Cherry Pearl. It is after all, a company car, not my personal pimp mobile! LOL
Dunn~Right Cleaning & Pimp Service ...
its_ikon 12-20-2003, 05:53 PM i personally like the the silver finish with a polished lip. it still gives the look of "bling bling", but it is still affordable and nice looking
Cheif_Thundercloud 01-01-2004, 05:23 PM The centers kinda look like sperm....but if you like'em.
yanges 01-01-2004, 06:39 PM those look like something i saw on a bB from Japan....
i think they would look awesome on an xB, but maybe save them for your Hot Lava xB!
showpaojoe 01-01-2004, 07:13 PM The centers kinda look like sperm....but if you like'em.
I didn't notice it at first but he's right. keep your eye one the left line when it splits at the bottom and you'll see it clear as day. The bottom one is the easiest
CBSIMONSEZ 01-01-2004, 10:51 PM LOL
If i bought those, would that make me a SEAMAN?
Im not going to get those now, i have to wait and see what is COMING  on the R.S. 1.0 this spring
decisions .. decisions .. decisions ..
tintsem 01-01-2004, 11:18 PM Will 50 series tires rub using a 17" wheel?
