Nice....what kind of millage did u get off that free tank of gas from the dealer?

What size tank does the xB have anyway? 10 or 12 gallon tank?

Just outta curiosity

sweetness and got to love the low fuel light, this morning i was on my way home from getting some graphics finished and I was about a good 15-18 miles away and of course had the rest of my money at home, anyway the light was on the whole trip made it home with easy averaging about 65mph the whole way...

but yeah the first fill-up is always fun..

First fill up. 273.2 miles 10.205 gallons 26.77 mpg 1.979/gal. 20.20 cost.

It's practically free compared to what I was driving. What am I saying. It was free.

Hey I received 332 miles on 9.878 gallons on my last fill up :) Easy cruising on the city and freeway. You should be getting better results soon after the engine brakes in.

I now have 2050 miles on my hot lava XB. My last tank I averaged 36.6 mpg. This was after I changed oil to 5w30 Castrol and 22% hwy, 78% city. It was only myself in the car this tank and no AC. The prior tank I only got 31.04 mpg., used the AC and often had 1 other rider. Overall, for all 2050 miles, I am averaging 33.65 mpg made up of 36% hwy, and 64% city. I drive very conservately...coasting to red lights, slow takeoffs, 55-62mph on hwy, etc. TomSki in Vegas

Yeah I beleive its a standard practise done by all the dealers....they give it a nice wash and make sure it looks good, fills up the tank, and sends you on yer way.

I am pretty much a lead foot driver. I accelerate to the speed limit with the pedal to the floor RPM's pushing 5,000. So my mileage is never more than 28-30mpg. Maybe if I eased off the throttle a bit I would get better mileage, but still 28-30 is A LOT more than what I got in the vehicle I drove last which is a 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan which gets about 18-20mpg on average.

 Yeah shifting at lower gears would help. Also the average is good for how you drive. IIRC some echo driver said he drove like that & only got 28mpg as average.
