Default Stupid @!$!*&$& Sunroof!

My sunroof will not close all the way for nothing in the world. I tried to close it and it gets halfway closed (to where you have to push the button one more time) and it opens all the way back up as if I wanted to open it again.

Anyone have or had this problem???

What is the deal! That ish p*sses me offffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

yeah, i had this problem, what happens is the built in windblocker gets stuck, and so when the sunroof tryes to close, the pinch guard goes off and the sunroof reopens, to close it, just hold the windblocker down from the outside and close the sunroof. take it to a dealership, it'll be fixed under warranty. they usually relube and grease it up and adjust the track. happened to me the first warm month of summer down in florida. doesn't take long either, just take it in.

or if you don't want to go to the dealership.... just clean the sunroof track yourself. its simple maintaince for owning a car with a sunroof.

I had them look at it while I was getting a scheduled service and it took them 7 hours to "reprogram the computer" to fix it. It came back, so I'm just going to grease it myself.

this happened to me just a few days ago... turned out that the bars that the sunroof pushes on to close the front wind deflector were dirty, causing the sensors to think there was something in the way. cleaned them up and all was good.

I'll have to clean it myself.

I tried the method with holding down the windguard thing and it worked.

dude...i jsut took some grease, spread it on both runners, and its been fine since then(it happend first month i had car, and has been for over a year now, with no other maintenance)

it was ridiculously easy to fix, no need to bother with going to the dealer for that
