dan... look in the d3 install thread it shows the only 3 wires needed to be used... i asked the same question as you and got the link to pacs site, just follow the instructions, it seems hard but once your done you will say "wow that was stupid easy!"

No Soldering required, I used those T taps.

and I found it easier to put the unit right under the HU incase I ever needed to reprogram it (which I had to do.. TWICE the thing is so stupid ugh.)

And from the D3 install thread, this picture tells it all

I used butt connectors instead of twisting the wires together, but either way works as long as you connect them.

those + the pac install instructions, I'm not quite sure what else you might need?

Here is what you do. You carefully put it back in it's box nice and gently. Go to the post office, and return the biggest headache that you would have now avoided.

i hooked it up to kenwood ddx-7019. (ok, actually my friend did it, but it looked ez enuff.) i programmed it on the second try. just be prepared to take a few runs at the programming cuz they are short-timed steps. take too long and u have to start over..... the results are very good. i noticed that the response time on the actual remote (sw) is a lil slow, but livable.

this is important as i think i used the wrong 150 last time. i finally got it working but i think the connecters i was using were a little loose.

i just did mine today. maybe you did something wrong, it was super easy. the only mistake i made was i hooked the power up to a constant power before i realized it needed to go to a switched wire. after i got it hooked up to the switched everything went perfect.

this thread explains it pretty well though.... https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=97985

i also swapped my dash kit out with the metra one and now the door cover closes again.

Ditto.. Easy to install, programming worked on first try... Only "complaint" is that it takes a few milliseconds to react to the button that you press. But I'm already used to it.

You really don't need to solder the resistor in. You can just put the resistor in between pin 7 & 8 on the factory harness. You can use electrical tape to hold it in. Had mine in since Dec, no problems at all. It also allows you to change it to a new car if you sell you tC in the future.
