Default Got some red under the hood!

I did some painting under my hood a couple weeks ago. I will be installing some leds under there tonight and pics of that will follow. Tell me what you think.

Not bad but imo you really need to detail the emblem and lettering on the engine cover. Nicely cut chrome mylar sheet (matching the bright details on the cover) might be ok, or maybe carefully mask them off and paint them with a charcoal color to kind of match the strut bar. This would help give a finished look.

randode sells vinyl that fits the emblem and VVT-I. You can even get chrome or carbon fiber vinyl.

I second that. I used foil duct tape (a roll is 2 bucks @ home depot)
This is mine.

Yeah, I guess it does tell me what every single other person has done when they painted their cover, but I kinda like the clean look of it with the letters kinda hidden. I was thinking about getting the randode overlay, but I haven't fully made up my mind right now.

Oh, and carbon fiber is out, I don't like the look of it.

Thanks for your comments, keep them coming!

Looks funny with them just red ...unfinished. The same as everyone else is why i suggest maybe a charcoal to match the strut bar, would be detailed and not the same as everyone else. Different colors on the emblem and the VVTI could work as well.

Finished the LED's that I had, still waiting on a couple more strips that are on backorder that will catch those black areas. These look a lot better in person also.
