Default Non-expert... probably dumb question - Towing

Hi,
I have an automatic xB. I see in my manual that I shouldn't tow something. What is the reason?

Is that tow NOTHING at ALL? Or most things? I've always wanted a pop-up camper and see that they have little ones for motorcycles. Could an xB pull one of those? Seems like, if a cycle could pull it, I could pull it. But as I say... what's the reason we shouldn't tow something?

manual means to say tow nothing. it's more a recommendation

it's all a safty concern and liability really... i'm sure it can handle a motorcycle's camper, just as long as it is within the xB's load limits then it'll be fine..

but xB's as they are, are pretty weak uphill too.. so.. just food for thought.

this is "rallying the scion" on his way to alaska and there are some mamoth mountains coming to ak. so i think you should be fine but you might want to check in on the warranty if you still have it, i think it might void your warranty if you tow anything with your xB

What are those boxes on the trailer?
What hitch do you have?
What light hookup do you have, and how did you connect it?
