Ok I have had it w/ Everett...first the break-in, acouple other "inconveniences" now this. Bethany came out to her car to find this:

Ok the really sucky part too is this: We called the Everett Police and they gave us a form to fill out for the State Patrol's accident form. Problem is the insurance company needs a case number now. We called the insurance company and they confirmed that they needed a case number from the city it happened in to go under un-insured motorist. So I called the police dept. again and they said that the form they gave us is what they use, and "thats what you pay the insurance company for is to figure out teh details." Problem is, there is a time limit w/ our insurance company of 2 days after the incident to report otherwise it goes under comprehensive and we have to pay the $500 deductible instead of $300! Why is this such a hassle? I am not baggin on the Police nor the insurance company, but why is the person that needs help treated by the people that are supposed to be helping like they are putting them out?

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! And the Penny is not even 6months old yet! She only has like 3100 miles on it! WHAT THE HECK! Sorry this is just a vent, I am just really frustrated by this whole process, and it really feels like a little more effort from one or more of the groups here would really help....your thoughts?

I am sorry to hear that happened to her, it does not really look that bad and may even be able to be repaired with out being painted.

Wow, that sucks Eric, moe to Lake Stevens, Marysville, Granite Falls, lovely area, my son lives up there in Arlington but has lived in most of the above mentioned towns so i have seen the area, hate the big city myself, green acres is the place to be.

Yeah I don't know whats up lately but I must be doing something wrong and boy how! I was hoping we could just pop it out to but if you look in the first pics you can see the creases/scuffs. We will take in in next week and see what they can do, I am hoping they can but not holding my breath...

Erik...where was Bethany at when this happened? If you were in Everett on a public street I thought that Everett police had to write up the incident? Why State Patrol??? They are for Hwy and unincorporated areas usually?

 

It was in the parking lot @ the Everett Fred Meyers, I was under the same impression myself...and she was @ work inside the store...

 

try some dry ice on the dent i seen it on youtube and it gets out the big dents just rub and watch it pop. lol

 

w/ an $8k paint job, will leave the paint work to the experts, I already learned my lesson, hence the new avatar.

I lived in S and N Everett and back then, N Everett was worse. Now it equally blows. The last remaining half-decent place is Silver Lake but that's not even real Everett... it's incorporated Everett.

 

i would help you with your case number but as far north as you are i dont have many contacts up there.. and Washington law is of course different than Oregon law good luck geting this taken care of

Weird... when my mom's car got broken into. I called the police it directed me to Snohomish County Sheriff they said I had some stuff to sign in the mail. However they gave me the case number over the phone... I dont know whats up with everett. I hope it all goes well.

 

I hate Everett too... moved the hell out after the 3rd break-in to a previous car.

Sorry to hear about the Penny damage. That so sucks!! I did grin when you mentioned your avatar, even though it's not a funny subject either.

Maybe you'll get lucky and they can pop it out and buff the rest out? Fingers crossed for you.
