has anyone done this? im iterested in seeing pics with the orange removed completely and maybe throw a red bulb in there. my original idea was to fab a clear corner but i want to see it without the amber piece first.

The RS3 tails are pretty much TYCs with no amber.

But ya, you could do an overlay... there are tons of people offering them.

 

i said no orange, not PINK that doesnt match the red already. I HATE OVERLAY CRAP!

i just think overlays are very tacky and very cheap looking. if i am going to attempt this, i want to do it right, like i did my headlights. no overlays, i baked and painted.

 

Those look great! Always liked the led's & b/u lights on TYC's but never cared for the striped reflectors & the orange lenses and this covers them both up nicely.

If I had TYC's I would def. get your overlays!

first of all its not pink...its almost like smoked red to me

and 2nd, your original post did not specifically say no overlays...so im sorry that i offended you by suggesting an overlay

well since you wanna do it the "right" way. Buy an RS3 and take the tails off it. Or find somone who has an RS3 and ask them very nicely to buy you a pair.

I offer several Overlays for the tyc lamps. I believe I have 5 different kits now

nothing, just the red overlay...the black outline and the gray areas on the sides of the TYCs make it look like smokish red...but of course its still more red than smoke

 

whats the blinker look like going through amber and red? amber in the rear is teh uber suckness.

i havent seen them up close, but will a dremel wheel get in there? or just dremel them apart and cut it out and get custom w/ it

 

its actually red...maybe a very tiny hint of red-orange but red enough for me =P

 

if you swapped for a red bulb im sure you would be good

 

probably will be a little darker red if i did...but the red now looks good to me...plus the orange lense will still be there, so it might not make that much of a difference

 

i had my tails completely smoked and i had some custom painted headlights put in this morning...pics on their way.
