I think that "Custom Hitch" idea might have been taken right from SL. Im not sure the guy here might have had that place do it for him so IDK.

How do you figure? I built a similar hitch for my box and I pull my kx250 everywhere with it. It's not going to do a bit of damage if you use a little common sense.

That looks like a well built hitch. It's a little expensive, but if you can't build one yourself it might be worth it.

The Toyota Echo (which is what the xB is based on) is rated to tow 1200 lbs.
You will not damage your xB towing a light weight trailer if stay within those limits.
BTW. I only have used my home built hitch for my bike rack and mountain bikes.
with no problems.
:D

Just think. If you can haul 5 people in your xB I would think you could tow the weight of at least 3 people. Just need to watch that tounge weight.

I would say that it is very overpriced. Find a welder or a shop that does that type of work and get it done for less.

I have a friend that makes offroad stuff and I got an entire rear bumper with hitch installed for my 4X4 for $400. [a very STRONG rear bumper with extra braces to using a yank strap.
