Default K+N Filter (drop in)

Hi all!
Is the xB2 air filter the same as the tC? Looking to find a K+N filter, thought ordering a tC filter may be quicker.

Cool, thanks for sharing that info.
Not too bad at 49.00 plus 5.00 shipping, only 10 bucks cheaper than the TRD.

These are available on Amazon.com

Just post the part number into the search. Not a bad price either.

If you're going with the drop-in K&N filter you should consider removing that long silencer hose from the airbox snorkel or relocating it behind the grill for colder air intake. With it removed, the engine sure sounds a lot better and it might even remove some restriction.

Yeah that hose is ridiculous! I removed it and the tube at the bottom of the airbox sucks air right above the side vent. I drilled mine out so it gets cool air and Ive already driven through lots of rain through it and I get no water in teh airbox at all. Cheap and easy mods!

you can get them at napa i think i payed $49.88 part #735-4677 + i used a $10 coupon that napa puts out .

just drop it in you have to look at the back cover when you put the cover back on theres 2 notches you have to get in the holes or it wont latch.

1. Open hood.
2. Release the 3 metal clips that keep the air filter housing closed.
3. Lift up top of housing.
4. Remove existing filter.
5. Insert new K&N filter.
6. Close housing (you will have to push it toward the rear to get the tabs on the backside to pop into position).
7. Fasten the 3 metal clips that keep the air filter housing closed.
8. Close hood.
9. Reconsider doing any more mods yourself since you had to ask how to put in an air filter.

It's the big black plastic box, behind the battery, with the 3 metal clips.

you can also remove the white filter at the top w/a flat head screwdriver.
