Default minor problem....

hey, for the last few weeks ive been having this squeaking issue when i step on the gas pedal slightly. i WD-40'd the spring of the pedal and other moving parts on the pedal and that didnt get rid of it...im not exactly sure whats causing the problem. its just a small annoyance and i dont think its going to lead to any bigger problem down the road(atleast i hope not) but i just figured id ask to see if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it.
thanks.
