Scion Invasion 2007 9-8/9-07
Here is the updated website:
SCION INVASION 2007
Alright, everyone...We have finalized the dates for Scion Invasion 2007!!!
It will be held September 8-9, 2007 in Roswell, NM.
We have big plans for this year and there are no set plans for the days as of right now, but the schedule will remain nearly the same as it was last year.
Sorry about the date change. We have had some updates and Scion Corp. will be able to contribute more efficiently to the show with the new dates.
Chris Rado will now be attending as well as a very cool and brand new trailer from Scion. The Trailer will include XM Radio, Wireless Internet Access, (6) Interior 42" Plasmas, DVD or Satellite TV, (1) 42" Exterior Plasma TV, (6) Interactive Xbox 360 Stations, Foosball, Club Lighting, Sound System, and a DJ Booth. This should be an exciting addition to the show. Stay tuned for more exciting updates.
For those of you that did not attend last year:
Friday was registration in the afternoon/evening and we had wash bays open for the cars.
Saturday was the actual car show with miniature events like giveaways, raffles, meals, and a halo tournament. This year, we may have an evening event planned, but it is not finalized yet.
I am as excited as ever for this event and hope to see you all there. I will be acquiring sponsors and vendors daily. I will be updating the website for the next few weeks and will set up pre-registration online as well.
If you have any questions about anything, just ask on here, pm me, or e-mail me at sstorey@scioninvasion.com and I will be sure to get back to you promptly.
See ya in September...
Steve

Please post the hotel list again, we lost our info from last year.
We want to be closer to the event this year.
Hope you can get the seatcover people back from Calif.
They had an awesome show special last time.
We missed out on some of the fun stuff by not going on the tours.
Don't want to miss the bus this time around.
Great road trip, PTO is in, look forward to this years event.
Thanks for bringing it back.

I will get the hotel list up by Tuesday. I will have the site up and running here in a few weeks.
Guitar Hero sounds like a great idea. I have personally never played it, but I have seen it played at parties and whatnot. We can have that and some other games from different systems out in the showroom for everyone to play. Can Guitar Hero be put into a tournament format? If so, we'll throw together a little tournament.
I hope we get Scion Shoppe back again this year as well. Last year, they told me that they would love to come back.
We have also doubled the size of our lot and have plenty of space for hundreds of cars.

Oh, and the judging won't take nearly as long this year (unless we double or triple our turnout from last year). I have created an entirely new system that will blow last year's methods out of the water.

it can be done in a bracket (random drawing for first round) tourney style by doing a Pro Face Off and the winner of the song moves on to the next round....... but there are obviously going to be different skill levels so I think we should stick to just 1 difficulty for the tourney
Sounds good comedy...
I agree Mark! We were going to do it the last week of Sep. but region is already obligated to HIN in Vegas(October 6) and Phoenix(October 13) and it would have stretched them way too thin.

Interesting...I like it. We did the farthest travelled last year for $250 I believe. I'm sure we can give out some plaques for "Drivers' Favorite" and some other things. I'll look into it.
