and it was a VERY long ride. but damn the Coca Cola 600 was awesome. ill be back for the fall race! ill be staying for the weekend.

i can now probably come up for a meest now i know how to get there. but damn.
i think it took about 3 1/2 hours taking 76 to I485 up into Concord. and it took even longer to park. but i may need to take a monday off or at least half a day. its easier to get up into the Piedmont triad then it is to get down tho the Charlotte area. too many traffic lights. i would try 40 to 85 but thats ___ backwards. but its all straightaways.

anyone else go to the 600?

if i lived there id be at every NASCAR sponsored event over there!!!!!

I keep threatening to go to the Fontana track in SoCal as it is about two miles from my house. It is a combination of lazyness and wondering if I could see much as opposed to seeing it on TV. Maybe if my Home Boy Jeff Gordon is still leading I will go to the next one here in a few months.

I went to the Darlington race a few weeks ago. My first NASCAR race. We were 3 rows from the track. Not the best spot to see the whole race, but what an experience!!
I definitely want to get up to a Lowe's race.
We did happen to be there during one of the test sessions at the beginning of May, which was pretty cool, and it was FREE.

Don't waste your time, just keep going to Darlington, its a hell of alot more fun. Charlotte is a zoo. I've been to alot of races, alot of places, Darlington is my favorite of all of them.

Only 1 race a year though, and who knows how long that will last.

I agree. I went by Carolina Motorsports Park the other day. I had heard that some NASCAR guys like to test there on occasion. They wouldn't let me in, but looked like Carl Edwards' Busch team was there doing some testing. Hopefully I'll be able to make it over there the next time they have an autocross event.

that would be neat. both road course races this year are going to be run with the COT cars. i think Gordon will have a little trouble blocking Juan Pablo Montoya and Boris said. this will be intristing

i hear a rumor they may take Watkins Glen off the schedule and race in Canada or Mexico. did you hear anything about that?

By nature, I hate everything NASCAR, but I might go to a race just to see a toyota flying round the track.

If you go once, you'll probably be looking for tickets again. It's pretty impressive.
