Default 5zigen GN+ (17's or 18's on S-Techs!)

Just wanted everyone's thoughts as I have been looking for a while..

5Zigen GN+ in Bronze - 5x100 +35 on my SW (Dropped on Tein S-Techs)

Now the questions is,
17 x 7.5? ( +35 )
18 x 7.5? ( +35 )
18 x 8.5? ( +48 )

think I will need any sort of spacer on the +35's or should I be good. Thoughts and opinions are what I want!

18x7.5 because of the offset. That will look hawt! You will not need spacers for a +35 offset.

so now the final decision...

17's or 18's...

Keep in mind the S-Techs... and then tire width? 225?

i personally would go with a 17x8.5 with the +48 offset.

you could then run a 235 or 245 if you please.

the 17's are heavy as it is.. you dont want 18's.

As far as tire size goes? 215/35/18? 215/35/17?

If I'm gonna drop some serious $crill on a set of 5Zigens, I wouldn't want it to look stock. (Even though there is a 1" difference in the width compared to stock.) They still will have that 'tucked' (a.k.a. stock) look. (That's with a +48 offset.)

I would want my rims to be as flush as possible with the body of the car without rubbing and the use of spacers. 18x7.5 w/+35 offset will do this very nicely! A 225/40 tire will be sufficent. Do not waste ducket$ on a wider (235, 245) tire when the 225s will do the same job for a cheaper price. Here's a pic of my 18" 5Zigens w/+35 offset...

Of course, all of this depends on what YOU want. If you want performance, go with the 17s.
If you want a little 'Show' factor, get the 18s.

If you're on S-Tech's, you already threw your performance out the window for the "show" factor because the steering and suspension geometry of the front is so low now that it is detrimental to handling, not to mention the insane spring rates to make up for the low drop.

So on that note, I would go with 18's for show, since you probably won't be racing your car and/or doing spirited driving with all the bump-steer and traction loss of the front end on those springs.

Personally, there is no other choice than 245's on the tires, anyone who says otherwise has NOT driven a TC with 245's, the lateral traction is enough to toss you out the window. So I'd go with 17x8.5 +48mm w/245 tires, and if you really wanted performance with looks, go with a set of Coilovers with proper spring-rates for our cars like H&R or Progress.
