How many tC owners in northwest Ohio or Southeast Michigan have more than 30,000 miles on ther tC?

 

I'm not quite in that area, but what year is your tC? I got mine back in September of '05 and it just rolled over 46000.... It's an 06 model...

 

that's weak I got mine last july and I have 30,000 already.

 

I'm really just looking for people in those specific areas. I need charcol canisters off high milage tC's.

i dont understand why people are proud of having miles on there car i just hit 10k and it sucks its like it isnt new anymore

 

Why do you need to collect charcoal canisters for Toyota?

A charcol canister is a fuel vapor catch can that is suppose to absorb (charcoal is an excellent and inexpsensive absorbant) gasoline vapors from fueling, driving and it acts as a vent sending air into the fuel tank. The gassed air gets sent back into the fuel tank for reusage or on some applications it gets sent back into the engine for recycling.

Oh BTW I think I have about 78k on my tC.

 

I'm guessing that this is on every tC then? Or is it installed on a few, or is it just a personal kind of thing?

 

I was under the impression that most Toyota engines eliminated CC's as it needs replacing every 30,000 miles (charcoal while effective is only effective to an absorbtion level) and went to a 2 way fuel sender unit that just sends fuel back into the tank? Hence why it took so damned long for aftermarket crowd to make turbo kits because the fuel sending units were throwing things off?

I dunno? I don't come to SL much, just to kill time...

 

Charcol cannisters are on all Toyota's. I need to collect them for Toyota Tech center
so they can evaluate the performance of the part and potentily improve on it.

 

Damn. That must have been some good dream I was dreaming. I have a few from my Alltrac... but I might need those... Oh yeah, one is JDM so that's like another $300 bucks...

I have 10,800 miles on my 06.

 

SW OH here and not even 11,100 on an 06 bought in July 05 (yes, I hardly drive, lucky me for having a very short commute).

Basically, no canisters available from me

 

I have a 25mile roundtrip everyday.

When I was in college, I put on about 100 miles a day on my faithful Corolla I traded in for my tC.
