im sorry but scion is dumb. not only did they turn the stock headlights into OEM high quality ebay crap they gave it a cold nipple to the lens cover.

and on the tail lights the far left is the turn signal and the middle is the running/brake light and the center most circle is a simple reflector.

but at least the headlights are real projectors. but still they fuxed it up IMO

the new colors (from what the swatches tell me)
waveline pearl is like Azure Pearl but with a little more purple.
and sizzling crimson is like Blackberry crush only with a little more purple.

you now have the same stock and upgrade HUs as the new xB

you can get the new light up door sills

you can have the RAZO shift *** as the RS3 only silver instead of blizzard pearl.

the same TYCs are still available as an option

the seats are weaved with light gray instead of blue-gray.

the handles are painted silver.

the center "waterfall" is 2-tone silver now, the 2 side trim peices are same dark silver and the middle (the part as wide as the HU door) is a lighter silver.

and theres 3 different grill patterns as you can see above.

so MSRP for automatic is $17800? that will be $600 increase for headlights, taillights, and etc. That's not bad IMO. But too bad out the door price for 08 auto tC will be over $20k now.

 

oh no, here we go. people are going to drool over these crappy looking headlamps just becaust they have projectors. Its only a matter of time before someone snags a pair and slaps their ebay HID kit in them.

If i were an 08 owner, i would have a set of the older models headlamps, tails and grills and do a swap in the dealership ASAP! Nasty a$$ CRAP!

but yea the headlights do appear that they would fit the older models no problem. i think they look hideous but my opinion isnt universal by far. i could have been an ___ and just said they look like crap and not take any pictures :p

the dealership and I were really surprised that they got some already, we werent expeting any to show up for another month or two and they got 5 already.

 

the new sizzleing crimson should be a HOT color btw. look at the xB2 Blackberry crush and a tiny more purple and there you have it.
from the swatch anyway. the colors are almost always better then the swatches

 

I thought it will be over $20k (auto) b/c my dealership charged me 10% of total price of vehicle for tax and all that fee's, so $18475+1848= over $20k. Well it really depends on dealerships tho.

 

Got the 08s already, I heard the time frame of next month maybe. I'm glad a got me my 07 though, it's a Spec. I don't know if there's any plans of doing that for the 08s and up.

Doesn't the new xB have a nav unit as an option? Will the tC's get this too?

x....whatever number, I like the old headlights and tailights better. That bump in the new models reminds me of the new G35's.

 

dunno about on the streets, they just got these 5 in today, as if without warning too.

the dealers like crap we have 5 2008s now when we still have 7 or so 2007s still on the lot.

 

if i were to get the 08 headlamps it would be for retro only!

 

as said in the first post the new 2008 tC comes with the same stock and upgradable HUs as the new xB

 

im loving the headlights. tail lights are okay, grills eh, id have to see em in person. i understand the consistency with the lights and grills between the xb, xd and tc, but i dunno. any idea what type of bulb is in the 08 low beam???

dunno about the exact bulb but if its anything like the bulb in the xB2 (which i would bet is the same) its very bright and white.
not as good as some 6k HIDs but very nice and leaps and bounds better then what they put in the new camry projectors

and no problem for the pix, i was first with the spec tC and the 2007 model and then again with the RS3 tC pix and now again with the new 2008 model, it fun to release some first hand info from something not many have gotten to see and share it with everyone.
imma be a zombie tomorrow at work but it was worth it to get this stuff

 

IMO, lower grill looks more like most cars on the road, and upper grill...... it looks like someone just took a beebee gun and shot up a piece of plastic.
