Default this whole pure pricing deal...

...does anyone know if this applies to used scions as well?

(i know a few on here have said to me to be weary of buying a used tC, but at the time, its all i can afford after my mazda3 was totaled, ive found a few with great prices.)

No, it doesn't apply to used tCs. Honestly, for as much as what the dealer is going to charge you for a used one I think you're better off with a new one.

If you do get a used one, make sure it has LOW MILES! (Like only driven 10K miles a year.) That way you don't inherit somebody's used-to-be turboed/supercharged-then-returned-to-stock-for-a-quick-trade-in tC. (Hypothetically speaking of course. )

GL with your outcome!

Nope doesnt stick with the used ones, but hyghgynx is right, you proablly are better off getting new with the prices the dealer will charge for a used one.

Probably? No, you ARE better off going with a new. I ran into this situation when buying my car. Found an '05 with 5K miles, 5 speed. Only dealer accessory were door sills. Drove it, no unusual noises. Thought to myself, "Wow, I may end up $1500 under the list price".

WRONG. Stealership wanted $19.700 for the car. I told the salesman "I can walk into your showroom and order a new 2006 for $16xxx. See ya." Walked away, went to the next closest dealer and ordered my SW'06.

I bought mine used and it cost just about the same as it would of new, 06 with 10k miles. Mine was a ceritified used toyota so it has a 100k mi warrenty (eng/trans) on it and I also got the full bumpber to bumper and free matienace thrown on for almost nothing extra. So all in all I think buying used in my case was better than new. So now my s/c tc has a 100k warrenty.

at the time it was supply and demand though. if you wanted it NOW. you paid NOW.

if you wanted to wait. you ordered.
