Default help me find some rims for my silver tC

hey guys,

i'm looking to get some new rims/tires for my tC. it's kinda hard looking for rims for my silver tC. I'm pretty sure white or black will not look that good on my car but not totally sure.

if anyone can help me that have a silver tC with some pics that they have with their rims and car together that would greatly appreciated. also, if you can tell me the brand name and where you got them.

I have 2 sets of rims...
18" 5Zigen RX6s in Hyper Black

18" Flik Artics in Gunmetal

I was going for the clean look. Both sets have served my quite well!

A lot depends on what you like. You can check out some rims on silver tCs here...

I know it's a lot of pages to search through, but you can get some great ideas from peeps in the thread. Black won't look bad but its played out. I prefer Gunmetal, Anthracite, or Hyper Black. I've never seen a tC in person with nice (a.k.a. not 'stock') silver rims. Those might look good also. If I could build a tC all over again, I would definitely consider the 5Zigen Sport Engine 3000s.

In Hyper Black, those are saweeeet! Plus, mesh is hawt! Me <3 Mesh!

Yes and no. I was going to buy them there, but then a friend of mine decided to sell his SW tC. He traded me the Fliks for my stockies. I think I won that trade.

You must be looking for 18s. If you get the Fliks, just be sure to get 18x8.5. You'll love how flush they are with the fenders.

I have 18x7.5 Sportmax 009 in Gunmetal. It has 2.5 inches of lip:

The best thing is... it's cheap!

they look sweeet Jehoo.

One quick question, if I buy my rims and tires at edgeracing.com, how would i put my tire presure sensor to those new rims. I know edgeracing.com does free mounting and balancing, but I want to make sure that tire pressure sensor is on my new rims. Should I leave this up to Tire Kingdom when I take it in to do the swap? or is there a way to do it myself?

Also, how much is it to swap my stockies with my new rims/tires and an alignment going to cost me around? I'm looking to do this at TireKingdom by the way.

I think the best way is to buy the wheel/tire package from edgeracing.com then after you get them, bring your car to Tire Kingdom then have them install the tire sensor and re-balance/remount the tires to the wheels again. I own an '05 so I don't really know how the '07 works. I believe you need to install the sensor to the inside of the wheels. Let Tire Kingdom do this for you, of course for a price.

About the swapping and alignment prices, call Tire Kingdom and get a quote.

im such an idiot, i totally didnt realize the tps system was so annoying. I put my raze r74s on my car and sold my stockers without swapping the tps. It's so stupid, i rode on my new wheels minus the sensors for nearly 100 miles with no light yet just when i sell the stock ones i get the sensor light and i now read im screwed.

screw it, im not gonna buy new sensors. From reading the threads it looks like the dont even work and when they do its inaccurate. Seems pretty silly to force these things in to peoples cars when they dont work well, only last 5 years and put them in the most inconvenient place possible (inside the damn tire)

Silver is a tricky color to match rims to. I think the rims either have to match exactly, or be an obviouse color difference. I think you should bo with a gunmetal, or almost black rim. If you are going to go with a rim that is silver, I think it should match the cars color exactly. I looked for rims for months just trying to find the exact silver of my car, but I couldn't, so I had them painted to match.

you could try black with polished lip, or just go straight up silver wheels. Here are a couple of wheels that i've owned on my car.

my first wheels. hypersilver

black polished lip
