At night, the clear bug deflector gleems when the parking lights or lights are on as in the first photo. In the day time, I sometimes see this STRANGE ABORATION, light streaks across a giant reflective highway sign. I can see this on sunny days and I can tell it is from my car because the bar of light moves with the car when in motion. If I stop and shake the car side to side, that tiny motion is magnified on the sign. I noticed it as I approached a stop sign when I had my camera. See photos.

Curve of the bug deflector?

On the signs it's not the bug deflector. Its your paint. I don't have a bug deflector and mine throws glare off everything.

same with me it shines on all high way signs mostly and i dont have a bug deflector

Another idiosyncrasy involving the XB. The curve of the hood causes this? Are we XB drivers blinding motorists? I hope not. The next generation has a different slope to it’s hood so this STRANGE ABORATION could be unique to XB’s.
