Default What to use to stick Cold Cathodes in the engine bay?

Topic, I've tried a few products but the engine bay is just too hot it and just falls off.

Pretty dangerous if a cathode/transformer were to get stuck in the belt. >_>

Have you tried the 3M double-sided tape? I'm talking about the good automotive stuff that holds practically anything in place.

If that doesn't do it I'd suggest something more solid like zip-ties. You can get them very small and in many colors to make it look nice and they will be solid.

I used the 3M double sided molding tape. Mine have been secure for almost a year. Never had a problem. Just be sure to clean the surface with some acetone prior to application. Shouldnt be an issue...

Mine are also secured with little squares f 3M double sided automotive attachment tape ands no problems. Make sure both surfaces (the cathode tube and the spot where you will stick it) are totally clean and grease free.

I use the zip ties that have a mounting tab on the end. Then I use small 5/16th head self tapping screws. Works great on cold cathode mounting.
