Default Random Idea for the Scion community to do.

So as we were all heading up to Mt St Helens yesterday we all passed a local high school with kids doing a car wash... That gave me the idea that we should pick a day and a area and have all of us get together and cruise to one of these kids car wash fund raiser events and have them wash all of our cars....and of course donate money. I assume lot of these kids are trying to get money so they can go on a trip somewhere.

What do people think? Even if we can find out earlier where they may be would work too or just cruise around till we find one Nothing would make some middle school kids happier then to have 15+ cars show up at the car wash

I was unhappy they weren't there on the way down. Had I enough time on the way up I probably would've stopped. Heaven knows I need a car wash bad after drives to PDX/The Dalles, Spokane, and Mt. St. Helens. This time I even added bird doo to my cars messy repitoire!

I'm all for this idea. But who knows when/where a charity car wash is going to be?

this is a great idea, and I have used these before to get car washed and donate money, but have also had to watch them to make sure they didn't grab a towel off the ground to dry my car with(they were going to until I stopped them). Maybe we could get Dustin to show them the proper way to detail a car, lol.

I think 1st let's pick a central idea for everyone to be able to join us.

Ya after that drive, it would have been helpful to many of us to wash the cars, but unfortunately they werne't there.

That would work.. That may be central enough for most people to come out and do it

We could of used it today....the drive from Coeur d' Alene was just full of bugs. Brings back memories of Excellerator last year.

Anyhow...you find a place and we will bring.........the Caliber. No way I am letting kids wash the xB.

And I was just thinking... "can we drive up and supply them with our own microfiber/soap/etc?" :D I've never been so paranoid about washing since I've bought my box.

But it'd be a good fun thing to do, for sure. The looks on their faces as a line of Scions rolls in would be priceless in itself, I think.

That would be cool if you could do that Dustin. Anyone out there with middle school kids that are having a car wash anytime soon?

Maybe contact one of the local schools or cubscouts or something? If it was like the scouts or a school, if someone donated something carwash-wise, they could use it again...

With Summer coming up, the school car washes may be limited, you might check in to local churches or Boy Scouts which someone already brought up.

I think this is a great idea. We not only show off our cars, get them clean, and are able to donate money. But it will also probably cause a lot of publicity for people just driving through.
I'm wondering if this is something we could get a dealer "Kelly?" to support and then we would know where the carwash is going to be and then the school, or organization could just advertise that the car wash is going to be there.

Just throwin' it out there...

I would make a donation, but there is no way I would let high school kids wash my car.
