Default xb rear wiper block off cap?

Has anybody seen the rear wiper cap that can replace the rear wiper blade? I saw one on ebay one time and can't seem to find another one. I guess you could probably make one but these were pretty trick looking. My kid broke off my rear wiper and at first i was mad about it but now i kinda like it. With the exception of the ugly screw and the post where the wiper mounted on it looks cool.

The key words to search for are 'wiper plug'. The 4th and 5th hit are what you want.

Home depot or Lowe's, hardware dept. White plastic plug, about $1.20. Touch up paint from dealer, about $5 with tax. Paint then clear coat, the plug. Use silicon seal around the edges.

Fitament is good, may need a little sanding to feather the edges.

Looks great, cost is less than $8 total.

I'll try to post pics when the rain stops round here later this week.

I made one with a 1 inch plug and some touchup paint. Looks decent enough.

Default how do you get ahold of key techniques?

Thanks for all of the info. I have tried to look key techniques up on google and yahoo but can not find anything. Does anyone have their web site or phone number? I have an RS4 so im sure going to home depot and then trying to get the paint to match will be a little on the spendy side.

I have a RS 1, metallic hot lava. It was no less or more complex to match than your copper color changing paint. Dealers can get touch up paint for the RS series. My dealer charged under $5, including tax, though it was a special order that took 3 entire days to arrive (gasp).

Not spendy at all. Whole project cost less than $8, actually, plus I was left with the left over touch up paint and a tube of silicon caulk to use around the house. Took 4 days, including waiting for the paint to arrive.

Of course, I'm sure Keytechniques product rocks, too. Lots easier to have them do the work, no doubt. Depends if you're the do it yourself type, I guess.

Exactly right. If you try it yourself and you are not happy with results what are you out, a few bucks? Atleast you tried and might learn stuff along the way. Priceless!

For my plug I used a chrome one for a sink. After I grew tired of the chrome look I took one of the metal covers off a Scion hub cap and trimed it to fit the plug. I now have a mini scion logo where the wiper was 3 years ago. It's all about trying new things and seeing what works for you. Good luck either way you roll!
