on scale of 1-10 with 10 being most difficult, does anyone know how difficult this would be?
i'm getting my interior shampoo'ed and i want to make sure they get under the seat properly, and what better method than removing it entirely, right?

Maybe a 2. Pop off plastic bolt covers, remove 4 bolts from tracks, unplug wiring harness, remove seat.

Doh! Forgot the one "foot" had two.
Hey, I said "maybe"! It'd be a 2 if you've never picked up a rachet before! :P

^^ lol.... yeah...
the only thing easier would be changing a light bulb.....
actually... on second thought... for a few people that might be harder...
:silly:

if you have airbags (sideimpact variety) then be careful when you disconnect the yellow plug under the seat. of course u have disconnected the battery and waited for a few minutes for the impact sensors to turn down.
on the yellow plug there are 2 springs and a lil yellow tab that will release the piggytail thing. when u release this be carefull the tab and springs dont shoot off into space. luckily mine landed in the car floor and outside on floor. if it had landed on dash the airvents would have probably doomed it for good. just pay attention to the yellow plug/tab so u can put it back together ez. good luck./

okay, new question concerning the seats... how about removing the upholstery on all parts of all the seats, to get to the seat foam?

You will have to undo all the metal clips on the underside of the seat. You can buy a tool to remove them or just use some needle nose pliers.

best way would just cut them off (they make hog clip cutters specifically for this application)
and then you'll need new hog clips with the pliers (which again they make for this application) to re-install them
needle nose pliers won't cut it.. hog clips are NOT easy to bend and you'll ruin your pliers and possibly hurt yourself if you try... electrician's pliers though... are tough and you can use those to remove them.

same thing applies to the seatbacks? also the back seats?
