ignorant questions,
I apologize beforehand if the questions may seem stupid.
I've got an 05 BSP TC and Im only recently going to start doing mods to the car, granted I know very little about engines, I just know how to drive fast
Im living in Miami and am getting mixed opinions on whether to get a Short Ram, a Cold Air intake or a "Complete Cold Air Intake" due to the humidity and constant Hurricane threat I am really put off on getting Cold Air intakes, but apparently a "Bypass valve" will help avoid water damage. A good friend of mine said the Complete cold air is what I would get the most advantage from, so what is a good Intake to get in my situation? Price is not really an issue for me.
I have also had friends tell me to steer clear off of Performance headers because i might "even lose some power" due to the high amount of Torque in TC's, how true is this and what are good headers to get on a TC?
thanks for all the help.

The most advantage comes with a CAI... that will gain you a little more than nothing. In other words, you wont notice anything but the sound of it.
As far as headers, technically the tC has a header stock. So it is more correctly termed aftermarket header. Header design determines where your peak power lies in the power band. So you will sacrifice power in one area and gain in another. In all honesty, you will notice little from an aftermarket header as well on this car. Bolt on power mods get you very little bang for you buck in this application (in most NA applications actually). The old addage "power costs money" fits very well
If you still want a CAI for the looks and sound of things, be aware that most have issues breaking the brackets. The K&N is the worst. If you want functionality overall, then go to yoursciontc.com and search for G.F.I. It actually peforms the function a CAI should without the terrible heat soak of the aftermarket ones.
