Default My hand drawn Spaceship/Hearse Car Wrap finally FINISHED! :)

After going through hell trying to replace my bumper and having the body shop paint my door and bumper a different color from the rest of the entire car I finally forked over the cash to install a car wrap to advertise for my clothing company.

I actually hand drew this design earlier this year but pieces of my box started falling off so I decided to wait.

The drawing was influenced by H.R. Giger, tattoos, and a human anatomy book. It probably took me two days to draw it out and vector it.

Here's my baby:

Whew! If you live around Orange County CA I highly recommend Loud Ocean Signs. It's a small shop but the service is excellent.

http://www.LoudOcean.com

I talked to a lot of other Vehicle Wrap places and they all quoted me $200-$400 more for the job than Loud Ocean and told me that it would take about 10 days.

I found Loud Ocean through google and I brought my car in on Thursday and got it back Saturday afternoon! Seriously, great place and super nice people.

I'm going to be designing a hood piece when I get more money to finish up the car.

Hope you guys enjoyed taking a look

Woo hoo! I think the mad scientist thing would look pretty damn cool. I'm really into that kind of stuff and now I'm getting some new ideas. I might even start on another wrap design for when this one dulls out in a couple years. The great thing about being able to replace a wrap is that it'll be like owning a totally different car

If you're thinking about getting one done I'd be happy to help you convert your artwork so it's ready to print so they don't charge you any graphic design fees.

Have a good one!

i got to hand it to you man. that is definately not my style but i give you props for it. When anyone asks where you got your graphics or whatever you can proudly say you drew them up yourself. how cool is that.

The best mods to any car or bike are always the ones that the owner designed themself. much applause to you man.

Oh I totally know what you mean. My parents saw it and they were like, uhhh it looks like a sneaker. haha

I'm going to miss the clean look of the black sand pearl and chrome but hopefully it'll drum up some business for me.

My next step is buying a tattoo machine so I can start doing them on myself, lol.

Thanks a lot!

Looks awesome - did you design the shirts for any shows on Bravo? I ask because one of them looks very similar to your shirts.

Haha, no I didn't but that's what I'd like to get into this year. I'm pretty underground right now and just do grassroots advertising. I'm going to have to google Bravo shows now.

Thank you!

Ohhh I know! I was thinking about lowering the car but it's a daily driver and I ride it pretty rough. I'm pretty sure that I'll rip off a few of the spoilers again. lol

Any advice? I really really want to lower it but I've never had a lowered car and don't know what to expect.

Thanks!

Thank you! I dig your mods. I'm still a XB noob and need to start emptying my pockets for some new toys for my box.

Have a great weekend!

Dude, that looks great... you need a drop though. Even an inch will set it off. I'm on H.Tech and it's a daily.

How much would dropping it cost? I'll have to sneak a little out of my savings account to do it

New springs are around $200... you can find used ones for half that pretty often.

If you're moderately mechanically inclined, you can do the work yourself. Or find a friend to help out. The rears are dead easy, the fronts are easy but they take a bit of work.

Mark, that looks as good as the original concept. Nicely done! I have been looking at your shirts lately. When I have some extra cash I will be placing an order. Also, when you start vinyl cutting I want a poison apple logo for my box.
