Redline Time Attack, Gateway Raceway, July 28th-29th
Hey everyone,
I wanted to come here and make a post regarding our upcoming Redline Time Attack event at Gateway International Raceway, the weekend of July 28th-29th.
The entry fees for the event are:
$175 for Saturday HPDE/Practice Day
$200 for Sunday Time Attack
$350 for Both Saturday and Sunday
You can expect to receive 2.5 hours of track time on Sunday and about 2 hours of track time on Sunday. We run three run groups on Saturday (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced) and for the Time Attack competition, we have three classes: Street, Modified, Unlimited.
To register for the event, you can use this link:
http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/cp...?idCategory=23
For more information on our series and the event, please use this link:
http://redlinetimeattack.com/index-6.html
Please be sure to read over our Rules if you intend to participate in the Time Attack on Sunday.
We are also holding a promotional event at Grand Prix Speedways on Saturday, July 14th. We've negotiated discounted rates for our event there and we are also giving away 1-Day entries into the Time Attack to the top three finishers at the Grand Prix Speedways event.
General admission for the event is only $15, and is good for both Saturday and Sunday. We will have fliers located at many speed shops throughout St Louis which are also good for $5 Off admission. You will also be able to download a coupon from our website good for $5 Off admission.
If you are not interested in driving or racing at this event, we can also setup a small "corral" of sorts in the paddock, if you guys want to come to the event as a group. We simply need to be contacted by a "leader" who we can communicate with. It would be nice to have a group of a couple dozen Scions at the event cheering for those Scions competing in the Time Attack on Sunday.
If you have any questions for us, you can post them here or you can always email us or call us:

See you at the track!

Yeah, Im not so sure how the car show aspect of our event will turn out. That is more of a side thing this year anyways. We mostly want/need to get people out on the track and people out to the event to watch the racing and check out all the cars participating in the event.
Chris Rado should be at this event with his Scion tC Unlimited-FWD race car which is damn fast for a FWD car.

Also, dont forget about the promotional event we are holding at Grand Prix Speedways just outside of St Louis.

Any Scion tC owners thinking of coming out? We've had a few come out to our events in California and West Virginia.
there aren't many tc's in the midwest that are truly capable of running TT. most on them are set up for street use, not track days. I am really glad to see a good quality promoter finally moving things into the midwest. All we really have is SCCA solo, and even then it's getting tapped. We (meaning me and my sponsors) are really looking forward to this event.
Looks like we'll be working with Chris Rado to bring him to the Scion event that's taking place here in St Louis. I guess there's some all day event/car show with music etc... Our Marketing guy Dan will be taking care of it. Chris will have his car on display as well. Then pack it up and make it to the track for the Time Attack on Sunday.
It was actually perfect that the first day of this event was the day of our because I ending up going that morning with the owner of our dealer Jerry "Jay" Ackerman who was actually racing his 95 Supra in the rwd unlimited class.Guess who was racing his Time Attack tC at Gateway Mr. Chris Rado who I met on a Scion trip to Florida Jan 06 Schorberg was with me anywho we were talking a lil and who do I see but Frankie Piccone who is Chris's crew chief and a friend of mine...The guys were saying they had nothing to do that evening so we had to mention the carshow well these guys plus some of the Redline guys said they would come down of course we all know how this can be pretty big time guys telling you they come checkout your show we were like cool and left it at that.Back to the racing Jay goes out on his first practice run and runs it hard he came in for gas and went right back out 2 laps in slip, slide (through the wet grass), BANG!!! Oh crap into the wall (of tires thank God) that sucked rocks.I had to leave him for a minute to get some pics taken of the ride in a small shoot with most of my St.L Crew anyway wrapped that up and picked up Jaybird the flatbed had already picked up the Supra and was taking it back to the dealership for a quick pitstop. Now were back at the dealership with the service mgr Freddie C and waiting on one of the techs Chris who was coming down anyway since he was judging that evening.I leave because I still have a few errands to run before the show while Im running Jay calls to let me know that Rado had just crashed his tC while in a practice run and would be rolling down to the spot to grab some parts since they were there working on the Supra.A couple of guys from the Rado camp ended up coming by to grab what they needed and get back to the track to work on the car. Showtime and now Im in frenzy as the cars come and come and come about a couple of hours in and we see this trailer yeah they brought the whole trailer with both the time attack and the drag tC's it was the ticket the place went BANANAS when the man jumped out of his badass rig these guys stayed til the end you hear me he signed everything from cars to people it was a blast....back on topic Jay took the Supra back to the track Sunday and proceeded to take fisrt in his class the weekend was great beyond words thanx for letting me get this off my chest midwest peeps Im gonna attach some pics right now...these 2 are before the wall incident...
