If you're anything like me, you've already had at least three accidents with your tC, none of which were your fault. While its frustrating to have damage repeatedly occur on the car (especially if other motorists are uninsured :gun:) I found I felt better when I saw that other people on the forum were dealing with the same thing, and in many cases, worse.

So here are some pics of my most recent crash. A woman rear ended me going about 35 while i was innocently stopped at a light, minding my own business, praying, saving puppies and curing cancer. Then... WHAM

First accident- girlfriend at the time (now ex) was mad at me because she hadn't driven my car yet- i'd had it for two months. So one day she had to drive it to drop me off at work...

i spun out and hit a guard rail 3 times, as yo ucan see twice in the front and once in the rear. (i was sober and NOT speeding, i must have hit a patch of dirt or somehtin. and no htose where the POSenzas they where the yokos that came stock i loved the bridgestones over the yokos believe it or not, but i love my nittos 1000000x more)

i didnt like black anyways... plus it was an auto :P

the 5 speed FM is 10x the car the black one was :D

Kind of a reversal on my part. I got rear ended, and with that, I ended up with a scion :)

i went to a local junkyard looking for roof pieces and the guy had a rolled one. there wasnt a single body panel intact.

awww, this thread makes the slight scratches i have on my rear passenger side from lord knows what seem highly trifling and trivial.

seeing this makes me unhappy. but it makes me feel better about how my year old car has a chip on the rear quarter panel about the size of a quarter and rusting... which the rock that hit it also dented... and the 20 (counted) chips on my hood, which one is also rusting... grr.

I rolled my tC when doing a mountain run; very similar, but without cliffs. I will never do it again, and I hope you know the roads you rally on better than I did.

The car in front of him actually messed both of us up.. He couldn't handle the turn so he slide on the dirt on the side. Therefore BrownDogg stepped on the brakes to prevent hitting him and i was coming around a blind corner and just smashed into him... So, it was neither of our faults...

I was just messing with you. I hope my tC never gets on here. Well, if it makes you guys feel better I have two friend's who totaled their tC's. One of them hit a rock while coming down a mountain and drove off the cliff. Another one of my friend's made a very fast turn when it was raining and skidded into another car.

That sucks. It seems like tCs get totaled at a higher rate than most cars. I guess it just has to do with the tC's target market: young drivers who have enough experience to handle a little more power than an econobox, but don't yet have the maturity to keep it under control.

Yep, I live in Hurricane. I wrecked out in the middle of Route 2, a few miles from Point Pleasant. Curvy old road.

I remember that night all to well. This one dude who decided to get lowering springs the poor mans way. He either cut his springs or heated them up and lowered them but anyways his car didnt handle worth anything. but he thought his car handled like a champ. He thought wrong. he slid off the road and almost flipped his tC and I was behind him and slammed my brakes to avoid hitting him and then blktc came around a blind corner and rear ended me. That night sucked. My poor Draxas exhaust died that night. And poor bens car had a rough night as well. So basically his car was madly in love with my car and couldnt resist kissing my cars ___ around the corner at like 30+ mph. lol

wow this really sucks. my girlfriends dad is a firefighter and he says tC stands for Traffic Collision. it's kinda weird how that works with so many accidents.

in cop terms tC does mean traffic collision. In scion owners terms it means Turbo Charged!

He either cut his springs or heated them up and lowered them but anyways his car didnt handle worth anything. but he thought his car handled like a champ. He thought wrong. he slid off the road and almost flipped his tC and I was behind him and slammed my brakes to avoid hitting him and then blktc came around a blind corner and rear ended me. That night sucked. My poor Draxas exhaust died that night. And poor bens car had a rough night as well. So basically his car was madly in love with my car and couldnt resist kissing my cars butt around the corner at like 30+ mph. lol

so sad.. so sad... :cry:

you can search for my thread, but heres the story.

my mom was taking it to the dealership to have the sc i was supposed to be getting installed. it was raining, there was traffic, everyone going 20-25. then an f150 switched lanes REALLY fast and probably didnt even see the tc, and BAM. then he tried to run.

thank goodness the old guy had insurance....

I've also noticed that people in big trucks sometimes can't see the tC at all, especially when it's lowered. Trucks have tried to make lane changes right on top of me a couple of times.

man these pics suck, my tC got nailed the first time two months after i got her in a head on collision.. some lil chick driving mommy and daddies new car turned in front of me and I had the green light and right of way. The second time a Ford F150 4x4 thought it would be a good idea to lower my front end for me when it changed lanes. I would post pics but I dont want to jinx the poor car anymore its been through enough in its 3+ yrs of life.

no they didnt. i dont think they will. the cop said thats y they burnt it was to get rid of the evidence. and for the person to say polish the header and sell them on ebay. i took them off, clean them much as possible and threw them on my new 08 lol. work good. i check them for a while to make sure the was no cracks or brakes and it was all good. still going out strong. the header and the exhaust is the only thing i could use. and im still using them lol. who knows i baught them threw ebay and this probably could be the 3rd car to get burnt in lol.

you gotta be careful with who you meet at places and see if you ever see a car following you home, it happened to a friend of mine... the dealer asked for the VIN, the name of the owner and the Address of the owner and well the theifs had met the owner at a car meet, followed him home one night and bam, just like that they had a name and an address, and just paid $75 for a key and stole it, they found it 4 days later in a junkyard stripped...

argh..people these days. ima heave like landmines and helicopters surrounding me car!!!

1. First one, it was my first day of my new job and while my car was in the parking lot someone decided to run into my car and leave

2. This time was my fault, i was delivering pizza and i got distracted making a turn in a neighborhood. I barely clipped the front bumper on this small island in the middle of the street but it was enough to rip the front bumper off. rode around for a month without a bumper and finally drove to NY to get a new kami front bumper. sorry no pics!

3. I was at a flashing red and i proceeded to pull through and some jackass ran the flashing red at fourty while a cop was sitting monitoring the intersection...what a retard!

Avoiding rear ending someone who stopped short in front of me. And avoiding the person behind me slamming into me, I swerved into the adjacent right-hand lane. Unfortunatly there was a landscaping truck comming up on my corner. His lug bolts tore in.

driving last night on a back road came around a sharp turn going 35 in a 30mph zone, hit a 30ft solid sheet of black ice, spun twice went backwards spun around again hit an embankment on the opposite side of the road with the front bumper then spun and went backwards up the embankment lifting rear wheels 3ft off the ground

Got my 07 with 72,500 miles off an auction for $3600. It had gdx kit, bazooka, 18" Stock Enkei's, and upgraded HUD. After repairs, total was about $6,000 for it.

It can happen... I have totaled 9 vehicles since I was 14 (hardship license). Only 2 were considered my fault, one due to hydroplaning because I had cheapass lowpro tires and 22 inch rims on a Corolla, second was CONSIDERED my fault due to the girl at fault's father being a cop, her uncle the sheriff, and her grandfather the judge.

I have been hit by 3 drunk drivers, 5 hit and runs, and one old man having a heart attack. The rest of my wrecks were just due to women drivers in bigass SUVs.

i was getting on an interstate and while switching lanesi lost control due to water on the freeway and started fish tailing well i did a 180 and came to stop facing sideways on the freeway on the fast lane. well while i was fish tailing my battery came disconnected due to the strap breaking in the trunk (relocated) and so when i got out i went to the trunk to open it to fix it another car came and hit mine doing 60+. no one was hurt thank god

wow, i got rear ended last november and felt a deep pain in my gut cause i was so upset, i can only imagine how some of you guys felt. im glad to hear everyone has been ok.

Talk about Irony! I was looking at this thread at work last night and on the way home from work at 7am I got into an accident most likely totaling my RS 1.0 . i will keep giving updates as i get more news from the insurance company.
