You live in LA and this is just dawning on you? How old are you, 12?

12? I drive a TC and that requires a license where you have to meet an age limit, did that every dawn on you?

Just smile and be happy because you're strong enough to rise above that.

Yes it did, but I took into consideration your ignorance of LA car culture and your grammar and speliing level and came up with 12. You could be driving illegally.

Don't be a hater. Someone is always going to have a nicer car than yours. Mr. Bimmer was probably just blown off by some supermodel in a GT3 and had to take it out on someone else. You were probably in the wrong place at the right time.

Dude, it's an M3. You made yourself look like an ___ for even trying. So the guy was a world class dick. Guess what, most Bimmer drivers are. But the M3 is soooo sweet, if you ever drove one, you'd understand. Messing with what's out of your league and than getting schooled makes yourself look like the tool they are trying to make of you. Stick to racing Hyundai's or civics or be prepared to keep ____ing yourself off.

I have owned many BMW's in my life. You should have said "What's that car cost you to maintain bro?" Speaking from experience, I don't think I ever had any of my BMW's serviced for less than $1,000 at the dealership. That's why BMW offers the three year service as part of a new car purchase. However, I don't think you will find a better value than the tC. If daddy pays for the BMW, that point doesn't matter. But for someone who pays out of pocket (like most of us), just smile and know your pockets are a lot fuller of green than the dude who just spent $30,000 for a entry level BMW. :D

yeah there will always be jackass's like that.

guy pulls up in a older m3 to my friends turbo'd tib. we were already at the light our windows down he laughs haha pointing ya know him n his 2 buddies their like "OOOO HYUNDAI HAHAHAHA"

light changes and they try to gun it alas.. for them.. as were passing them me n my friend both give em a friendly bird.

so don't worry. your car has a price tag of 16k around there. if a company does it right and releases a good turbo kit you'll put down 275+ w/ a cost of another 5 grand and you'll smoke them 40k+ m3's.

but think of it this way, when people like that do get into wrecks, its more fun.

What does this have to do with the tC, wouldn't off-topic be a better place for this?

So you're telling me that people using their money to boost their image or to put down others is part of the LA culture? Where the hell are you from? There's people like that everywhere, like I said, I've just never encountered that on a personal level. Am I hating on the fact that I raced an M3 or that someone or lots people own M3s? No, you're assuming that. I like M3s, nowhere did I state that I was hating on the guy because he had the money (or his parents) to buy the car. Look, I don't care if something happen to him but it doesn't mean you get to blown off steam by flashing your wallet and saying, "Is yours as big as mine?"
And tell me, who are you to judge my grammerical skills? Is this an English Forum? Read my stuff for the content of writing not literally how its spelled or structured. I'm sorry that it was 4am and that I wasn't on my toes about my grammer.

Hey look, I didn't say that I was gonna win. I said I was gonna try. I know what M power means. But it don't hurt to try. How come they've been racing imports in the drag for a while now when people used to say that they never compete? If the guy beat and felt good, good for you. It was never an issue until those guys made it an issue. You make it seem like if you wanna play with the big boys, but you don't have the toys, don't try at all. Sorry I don't like being herded by that kind of thinking, think outside the box, not like you're stuck in it.

what you should have asked the guy is, "is yours paid off?, then we're in the same boat, cause you don't own it, the bank does......"

and you should have asked his friend why he's talking ish, when he doesn't even own the car

nah, john, go on brush your shoulders off, and buy one of those turbo kits when they come out, a limited slip, and go m3 hunting......uhoh gonna get flamed for that one huh?

haha. thats why my one friend w/ $ rules. he dont look down on people, but he doesnt like it when people try to race him in like cavaliers or crappy cars all rusty etc...especially in the beamer...he has a VW that has as much money in the motor as the price of the car, and that things real fun. Race cars and blow em away, like firebirds etc. Its a little GTI with 400ish HP, turbos RULE! Our cars w/ a little work (supercharger) should be able to keep up/beat most things on the street besides the obvious...

Welcome to Orange County!!!

I had some guy in a porsche do much the same thing, only I was not racing. He pulled up next to me, looked at my car and burst out laughing.. I have a bit of a short temper, so I decided to ignore his remark. Sure enough, at the next light, he took a glance at my car and once again burst out laughing. This time he decided to yell out, "what a piece a ____!", right before taking off. ....I was not amused. Well, unfortunately for him, we ended up at the same 7-11 about a 1/4 mile from the "scene of the crime". I got out of my car when he and his girlfriend were just leaving the store. Now, I'm a tattoo'd up, shifty-looking 33 year old hispanic male who does not take kindly to people laughing at my car. And I really don't like it when someone tells me [ at least in person] that my car is a "piece of ____".

I immediately confronted him and expressed my concerns about his unkind remarks. I was a little upset and after a little yelling and some minor physical contact, he had a change of heart and immediately apologized.
I assume this whole situation did not make a very good impression on his expensive-looking girlfriend, because she decided not to get into his equally expensive porsche. I'm sure this was quite an emasculating experience for this guy although he did have it coming...

You have to remember that the guys driving the Porches and BMWs are compensating for other shortcomings (if you know what I mean). Kind of like the short man syndrome.
