View Full Version : Misbehaving Windows
mildmodtc 06-18-2007, 06:01 PM Anyone have this problem where once in a while the passenger window DOES NOT work from the drivers side....and addition to this, neither window will do the auto up/down function also.
the window button will flash green 2-3 times when trying to get it to work from the drivers side. then a few days later it works again. :flame:
what gives? :x
scion_adam 06-18-2007, 06:05 PM You need to reset them. Roll you windows down half way, then roll them up and hold the button up for about 3 or 4 seconds. That should do it. It happens when the battery's been disconnected. Check your owner's manual; it gives better instructions.

There's a lock out button over there someplace. It happened to me once.
BTW, this is the wrong section for the question. It probably should be in Ice/Interior. :D

mildmodtc 06-18-2007, 06:48 PM whoops! wrong place for posting. also I misplaced my manual. Tried looking for it this morning and thought before I called to schedule maintenance I'd hit you smart guys up first.
Thanks!
Joe_Dezod 06-18-2007, 06:51 PM You got me. I'm a FI freak haha...
I did strip the car down though and I was planning on figuring that out as one of my tasks lol. If you figure it out, PM me.
IBTL!
engifineer 06-18-2007, 08:06 PM Yes.. the lock button can sneak up on you.... so can the owners manual and the search function :)
Spect2K3 06-18-2007, 08:38 PM You can choose which one you want me to yell. Let me know which works better for ya:
READ THE MANUAL!!!
or
DO A SEARCH!!!
deathbyc4 06-18-2007, 08:47 PM I prefer yelling...
DEE DEE DEE!!!!
06SuperWhite_SoCal_tC 06-18-2007, 11:09 PM It's the same for all of them, roll windows down all the way and hold the button for a few seconds, roll up and hold for a few seconds, do the same for the roof open and hold, close and hold.
SoccerBoy_AP 06-02-2010, 01:44 PM So thats why after I installed a ground wire kit my windows starting being stupid....
I though it was because I did something wrong when I did all the ground connections following the Tech Article (http://scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10785)
....wew :relief:
(...and yes I used the search function, that's why I have brought back the dead post that's in the wrong section....)
